Coming Soon — FINISHING MR BODDY

A new film is on the way, and this one is a contest.

It is called FINISHING MR. BODDY. It is an intricately AI-rendered adaptation of Clue, or Cluedo if that is the box you grew up with, and it is also a game of Clue. I am not making a movie about the board and then telling you the answer at the end. The film is the board. A crime has been committed. Mr. Boddy has been finished. Who did it, in what room, and with what weapon are all in the picture, and so are the clues. They are hidden in the film. You find them by watching. Or you just watch the m/m, and, ahem, finish yourself.

When it opens in 18 days, the game is only for Patreon members. Watch it as many times as you need. Send the full answer: the person, the room, and the weapon. First member to get all three right wins three months of membership. A hunch does not count. Two out of three does not count. The film has to give it to you - and it does. Directly, but you must actually think and deduce, like CLUE. Even without the puzzle, the film is... satisfying.

Paid members get the release, the chance to enter, and the pleasure of arguing about it in public. The case, the hidden clues, and the prize are for members only; though they may give the prize to whomever they wish, or keep the loot to themselves. About three hundred of you already have the key to the mansion. Everyone else is invited to join before the event.

The house and its characters are as ridiculous as you would want for this: marble, red stairs, gold on anything that stood still, two chairs that look as if they have already picked a suspect, a compass rose in the floor that may be decoration and may be a clue with good manners. I am not telling you which. That is the evening.

October 22 is when the board opens. Come ready to play, not just to watch. This is the fourth installment of the Halloween month...
