How to get started / Use this mod!
Get the Aspiration, the Streamer Trait, or Both. You can also go in-game and click the "Switch Settings" in the "Switch Streaming" menu when you click on your sim.
You can assign other sims this trait as well to have more streamers in your world.
The aspiration is located in popularity and is a good tutorial.Stream by either using the phone streaming menu, the switch settings menu, the computer, a drone, or a tripod.
Switch Rules
Do not wear inappropriate clothing.
You should never be nude for any circumstances.
You should never be in swimwear at home during a stream unless you are inside of a hot tub or pool. We do actually allow swimwear if you are at a beach or pool area.
We do not allow bullying, excessive arguments, or fighting on stream as it is very unprofessional and not the image we want for our streaming platform.
NPC Switch Streamers
What are NPC Streamers?
Npc streamers are premade sims that will enter into your world when you use the "collab" option. Which you unlock by streaming, reaching out on your switch menu, or from hiring a manager.
How to Stream Together?
When they visit your home, you can then begin to stream, and if they are nearby they will interact with your stream, read comments, and even join streaming with you! If they are not nearby they will just simply be tending to their needs, you can call them over, or chat with them.
Streamer Hangout Lot Trait
This lot trait spawns Switch streamers. NPC streamers and streamers you have placed into your world with the trait. But, if you haven't invited the NPC streamers over using the collab menu, then the premade NPC sims will not be inside of your world yet. Which means they will not show up for the hangout lot trait.
Current Features
Streaming: You can stream from your phone, tripod, console, and computer!
NPC Streamers: You can meet NPC streamers and invite them over to your house to collab. You don't have to worry about socializing with them, they will join your stream on their own.
Stream Control: You can click on your sim to access stream interactions while streaming.
Stream Collaborations: Sims around you will notice you are streaming, streamers will join your stream, join your gaming session on their phones, sims will read your chat, your comments, and will even celebrate with you when you get donations and subscribers.
If a sim is near a streamer that is streaming, they can interact with chat, or even join the stream!
If it is your sim, click on your own sim, choose "Join Stream" and pick an option.
Hire Staff: Get help by hiring a manager, editor, and even moderators! They will help you go viral, build connections, and access more opportunities!
Variety Streaming: You can be a cozy streamer, gamer, IRL streamer, musician, artist, mobile streamer, and more!
Casual Streaming: A brand new way to stream on your computer! A brand new way to stream on your computer! Just go on any computer and look for the casual livestream menu.
Three of these options require high school years pack so they will not show if you do not own that pack.
Smart Live Comments: There are 5000 comments even though you might end up with similar ones. The viewers are almost fully aware of what you are doing and will react to what you're doing.
Streamer Hangout: Streamers that you collab with or placed into your world (with the streamer trait) will show up at streamer hangouts. NPC streamers won't show up unless you collab with them atleast once.
Donations: The main source of income that will come with comments from your viewers.
Streamer Feelings: This mod adds different moodlets and buffs to express the emotions streamers feel. I didn't go too deep inside the negative emotions because I want this mod to mostly showcase the positive part of being a streamer.
Get banned: This mod adds an opportunity to get banned. Your manager can help you get rid of your ban, you can stream an apology, or appeal it on your phone.
Offline Interactions: You can do a few interactions when you aren't streaming by clicking on your sim. They will succeed based on skill level and fame/followers.
Subscribers: You will be paid weekly for having subscribers. You will be paid $10-25 per subscriber depending on their tier. You can make a maximum of $100k a week from subs alone. You will have to manually cash out.
Streaming & Fan Service Skills: These skills give your sims more opportunities like increased income, more success with interactions, but the fan service skill comes with downsides of more parasocial realtionships.
Events & Sponsorships: Streamers can get invited to different events and to film for sponsors. This can earn them more fame, followers, and money

Cashing out wasn't rewarding any money! It now rewards money and you can also now cash out every 3 days instead of waiting once a week. You will be alerted when its time to cash out again after you have cashed out.
How to Install
Download and unzip the mod.
Drop all files into: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
Enable Mods and Script Mods in Game Options.
Restart your game and start enrolling your toddlers!

Hi! Wanted to mention an issue I'm having. The NPC streamers, in my game for some reason, have had their names disappear. Not sure if it is an issue with my game or the mod but thought I would mention it as it is only the streamers. Thank you!
is there a way to change the appereance of the npc? is it through mcc command?

ugh i was so happy when i saw this. i love love love this mod. theres no mod that could replace yours ever since it was broken i missed your mod badly, BUT sadly your mod is once again bugging around. idk if other ppl have the same problem but, your mod causes LEs and causes my sims needs to go crazy, its yellow when it shouldnt, its green instead of red, its red when it should be green. i had this bug back then too. either the bug is still there or your mod conflicts.. ( i do not have any other streaming mods..)

Like 2 months ago I've been searching nonstop for this mod for my streamer sim! I remembered playing with it a couple years ago and I thought it was apart of Get Famous and after trying everything out I found out it was one of your mods. Thank you SO MUCH for bringing this back you are amazing <3

Is there a way to change the autonomy related to this mod? I'm constantly having to go to my sims family members and remove the streamer trait. Even grandma keeps trying to stream! I love the mod but when I have it in my game, everyone in my played household autonomously streams regardless of having the trait or not (obv it gets added when they start). Seems to be specifically the interaction "Browse web with chat" that my non streamer sims autonomously perform.

Is it necessary to have both files? Because when I use one, it works fine and things appear that weren't there before. But when I use both files, some things simply disappear.
No one is older version the newest version is 1.2 only use that one

i have critical exception for this mod , it says "switch streamers set B" as invalid tuning mod. the reason is "Error during initialization of service tuning_instance_manager. This will likely cause additional errors in the future. (UnboundLocalError: local variable 'test_set_tuple_to_append' referenced before assignment)"

Ooh I’m sooo excited u brought my fave mod back but I’m running across a bug..no matter how many times I try to end the stream by clicking the button it still won’t end so my sim pulling 24hr streams everyday cause it won’t stop lol

Unfortunately I still don't get paid when hitting the cashout button even after the update.
I'm sorry to hear it is still not working for you: 1. Do you full delete the old version when you update a mod or do the replace option? 2. How many subscribers does your sim have, I want to try to replicate it, do they still have 129? 3. Can you test version 1.2 to see if that version works for you?

Thank you, I upgraded just to get my hands on this again. I have a few questions about conflicts. The older version conflicted with Livestream for Everyone and Stream Let's Play mods by LittleMsSam. Do they still do that? I'm also wondering if it conflicts with Maiagame's OnlySims mod because it allows nudity while streaming. I could definitely see a possible conflict there. Thanks! Edit: I have tested without LittleMsSam's mods and with OnlySims installed and it appears to work just fine this way.
I dont use those mods, so im unsure, but my mod does override the computer interactions, so it will conflict with mods that also override the computer interactions

The mod is truly fantastic. Unfortunately, my Sim isn't getting paid, even though she has a huge number of subscribers.
You can only cash out once a week, and most money comes from ads, but I might change the duration!
