Progress update, Small delay + Thank you

Hey all, I need 2 weeks more for the next chapter. Aiming for 10th September. Apologies to anyone who was looking forward to a late August release.

I also want to thank all the patrons. The game’s gained many new supporters here on Patreon, it’s like 1-3 people every day since the last release. And I haven’t even released any footage of it publicly yet. No screenshots other than the release post which is for patrons only I think, and nothing on reddit or twitter. And it’s still growing every day which is just crazy. Thanks all!

On that note, I’m looking for help with capturing game play footage + trailers for the game. May be even helping with marketing on reddit or twitter. If anybody would like to help out with any part of the process, I’d appreciate it.

Nudity + Clothing customization

I received requests from a few players who wanted the option for nudity, and I’ve replied to them individually. But for everyone else: it’s already there! You can find the options in the settings under “Artoria’s outfit” which should be the second section.

And not just that, you can customise all pieces of Artoria’s clothing individually except the shoes & stockings because they’ll be taken off during the story progression. You can take off all other clothing parts individually already. I should’ve announced this in the last post. Even hair colour and skin color is customizable.

Fate/Stay lore issues

A player notified me about lore in the first part of the story. I wasn’t too knowledgable in the Fate/Stay lore and all the different universes. So, I didn’t realise that the adult/mature version of Artoria we’re using is Lancer from FGO, not Saber. Although it kinda fit by accident. But in my head, the game’s protagonist was obsessed with Lancer, not Saber. And it’d be weird if a Fate/Stay fan didn’t know the difference between Lancer & Saber. So, I’ve updated the names. And changed some dialogues too show that our evil/domme Artoria is aware that she looks like Lancer, and she’s neither a big fan of Lancer or Saber.

This change will land with the next release.

Progress Update

Save system

I took a break for about 10 days after the last release and resumed work in mid August. First thing I’ve done was implement a save system. As the second release won’t be the final one for the Artoria game, I don’t want people to have to replay the game over and over again to reach the part where they left off. It’s not full fledged yet - no multiple saves, etc but its a start. Its main purpose is to just let players pick up the game wherever they left it with each release. I hate when for 15 minutes of new content games force you to replay everything from the start so I want to avoid that for Femdom-Verse games as much as possible. With this save system, unless a release changes something in the story before the point you last played, you will start at the latest point.

Throne hall location

After the save system, I’ve mainly been working on a new throne hall location that Artoria will take you to. This is where the foot worship mini game and possibly a spitting section will take place.

I just tend to under estimate how long a new location and its lighting takes to start looking right. There is a tech aspect to this, this new location exposed some edge cases in my light mapping process. But I also just always spend way longer finding the right light colors and shadows setup for new locations than I plan to. This is only the second indoor location with the updated engine so I hope at least the technical challenges will be sorted soon.

Remaining work

After the throne hall, I want to spend a few days just improving the boot worship game further. For people who’ve tried the updated one, the first thing is obviously the movement speed. When you’re expected to move all around her yourself, we need the ability to both move slowly to be precise but also move fast. And then the tongue physics and its feedback, it’s not as satisfying as it used to be. Just needs some love to get it right.

Then I’ll be working on animations and story as the final step as usual.
