Progress Report #03 – Prologue Act 3
Hey champs 👊
These past days were focused almost entirely on visual production for Act 3.
One of the most complicated sections of the update has now been produced: the fight sequence!
This part took a lot of time to build because it needed several shots, stronger pacing, action beats, crowd reactions, and enough visual support to make the moment feel intense instead of just described through text.
It was definitely one of the hardest parts to produce so far, but I’m really happy with the result.
With that section now finished, the next parts should be a little more straightforward to produce.
As mentioned in the previous report, I’ve also been adjusting the visual approach for this update. That new approach is now being applied more directly across the build, with more varied shots, stronger character reactions, better body language, and small visual beats supporting the scenes where they help the flow.
Here’s what has been worked on so far:
About 60% of the previously written 4,000 lines of Act 3 have now been produced visually.
The fight sequence, one of the most complex sections of the update, has been produced.
New character shots are being created with more focus on expressions, reactions, and body language.
Some scenes have been adjusted so key actions and reactions are supported more clearly on screen instead of relying only on text.
I also spent time polishing parts of the script, removing redundancies and trimming lines that didn’t really add much to the scenes.
Nothing major was changed in the story direction. The focus was mainly on cleaner pacing, better flow, and stronger visual support.
I’m honestly really happy with how this new production approach is working so far. The update is starting to feel more alive, more cinematic, and more polished. There is still a lot to do, but progress is steady.
More previews, character content, and updates are coming soon.
Thank you for playing and supporting Between Rounds.
