This Song is Straight Up HYPNOTIC | Taylor Swift False God | Lyrics & SNL LIVE Performance
🖤 TAYLOR SWIFT – “FALSE GOD” (LYRIC VIDEO + SNL LIVE) REACTION
In this episode of Hazed Reactions, Rick and Robert react to “False God” by Taylor Swift — and this one completely caught them off guard.
We start with the official lyric video, breaking down the hypnotic production, layered storytelling, and genre-bending sound from Lover… but things escalate quickly when Robert becomes OBSESSED and asks:
👉 “Has she ever performed this live with a jazz band?!”
So of course… we had to run it back and show them the 2019 Saturday Night Live performance — and let’s just say… they were LOCKED IN.
🎷 WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS EPISODE:
First-time reactions to “False God” lyric video
Rick & Robert realizing how genre-fluid Taylor really is
A deep dive into why this song feels so hypnotic
Discussion on Taylor’s songwriting evolution and storytelling style
Why Taylor might be her own genre entirely
Surprise reaction to the SNL live performance (2019)
Live band appreciation — including THAT saxophone moment 🎷🔥
The origin of the Eras Tour and how Lover Fest’s cancellation changed everything
🔥 WHY THIS SONG STANDS OUT:
“False God” is one of Taylor Swift’s most underrated and experimental tracks — blending pop, jazz, and R&B into something completely unique.
This reaction really highlights:
Her versatility across genres
Her ability to make every song feel distinct and intentional
And how her live performances elevate everything to another level

False God is most definitely underrated from what I can tell! It is SUCH a great vibe, and my husband truly gets giddy when he hears it playing and gets to watch me dancing (badly!) to it in the living room. Hehe 😈
Loved Rick's commenting on how Taylor is a rapper *grin*. Knox Hill, another reactor, calls Taylor a battle rapper and it's so true. Keep the fun rolling! Thanks for the fun journey
The live performances are almost always better... also, so happy with all your reactions on this one... it is one of my most favorites... but for me, my fav is still her live performance from her Lover From Paris mini-concert of Daylight and also Death By A Thousand Cuts - same moni-concert... love rep stadium tour most, as a whole, but the Lover From Paris (as averse to Live From Paris), was just awesome... it was just for like 3,000 of her most rabid fans from what I was told - i was not there unfortunately... but it is soooo good... the fans are deafening, which they should be .. just sayin... ... great reaction, and Karina, keep singing along, please... you are totally me 😆 in a much better way, but you represent me as a fan... I silently - sometimes not so silently 😆 - sing along no matter who is around... so keep it up... but its so very fun to see the boys become fans, too... love it... ❤️ hope you do Daylight at some point...
You would all love " To All of the Girls I Loved Before " from Lover vault track.
Yess I love that one and can’t wait to show them, especially Rick! ❤️
Good morning. Up early with the hazed community and hazed with yall. I worked all weekend in trauma icu. I needed morning hazed and to hang with yall for a while before I turned on the news. Cant wait to see Rick and Robert's reaction to this song.
Sending big hugs from all of us! Thank you for your work in the trauma ICU. Because of people like you, I got an extra year from my dad after he fell off a roof at work. You’re a hero and I hope you never forget that. Thanks for spending the morning getting hazed and relaxing with us ❤️
Did I hear a Mary J Blige call out?? Maybe they need to see that performance when she made an appearance on the 1989 tour… 🫣🫣
Haha yesss you know that evil plan face all the evil master planners in cartoon movies have when they realize something incredible? That was me in my head when I heard him say that 😈
There is a live audio from lover live in Paris
So good! It is a vibe!
Is this a safe space? *invisible ink* this is one of my few Taylor skips. I would pick ME! over False God any day. 😂🫶🏻
Absolutely LOVE seeing the appreciation for False God!
Agree! I was so glad they liked it! After the last episode where I came in to record and Robert had jazz playing throughout his studio while he got ready I just KNEW he’d love it haha
Random I watched a Kanye fan react to Reputation & throughout the reaction he kept saying why does this remind me of Yeezy 😂 I was like oh you sweet summer child lol
🤣🤣 sweet summer child is my favorite non insulting, insult hahahaha too funny!!!
Like legit the swifties (myself included) would send Robert a gift basket if he watched the Eras Tour doc before we started the Eras Tour journey
Just discovered false god and I’m in love with that song 🎶🫶
It’s sooo good!!!!
Taylor is fan of Eminem too. She did a cover of 8 mile on the speak now tour.
Love this reaction
Thank you so much Vicki!!!

Hahah yess I thought it was so ironic they didn’t even know that so I had to leave that clip in 🤣🫶🏼
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I’m so happy you introduced them to this masterpiece. I commented a couple videos ago saying you should add this to the short list and you said it was also your favorite and that it was coming soon and I’m soooo fu@king happy Rick and Robert loved it just as much as we do!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Love the SNL version!
It’s sooo good!!!
