We are diving into massive magical sieges, the Lady unleashing two dozen war elephants on the Rebel army, and Croaker continuing to absolutely lose his mind every time he makes eye contact with a terrifying ancient sorceress. Plus, we finally start putting the pieces together on the White Rose prophecy and uncover just how deep the Taken conspiracy really goes.

Great episode! Looking forward to more Black Company! If you all can, I’d definitely suggest Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy as a grim dark Western; written at about the same time as the Black Company and also focuses on a group of mercenaries.

I listened to the first episode, got the first audiobook and listened to it, got the rest of the audiobooks for the series, listened up to the fourth book in the series, now listening to episode 2 of book 1
