The Bleakest Fallout Game
Welcome back to Acceptable Losses! When asked what the darkest entry in the franchise is, most people immediately point to the horrors of the Mojave Wasteland or the desolation of the very first game. But they're missing a story that didn't have the luxury of a century to heal its wounds. Today, DK, Kirioth, and PancreasNoWork are exploring a chapter where you step out of a Vault into complete, unsettling silence. It's not a wasteland of ancient ruins; it's an abandoned graveyard where the ghosts of the recent past are still fresh. We're talking about the original, vanilla release of Fallout 76.

I love the episodes on video game universes. They should do the world of the Diablo games someday
Have you guys considered a cyberpunk 2077 episode?
I'd almost forgotten just how truly empty and full of dread the early days were, right after reclamation day. Interesting hearing all of this again, after I played it at the time. Those damn Scorchbeasts still annoy me haha, based somewhere I liked for a time but one of the buggers always spawned there.
Ah 76, what a time. Worth the power armour edition? let's not discuss that, but the lore is fantastic.
HAHAHA! GAAAARY!
Thank you for the episode, also THE HYPERION CANTOS 😭
not singing country roads when prompted is a criminal offense punishable by judgmental glares
Ah sweet home nuclear wasteland
Vault overseer says "Work together and help everyone!" Players around the time fallout 1st was added "THAT ONE BOUGHT FALLOUT 1ST NUKE THEM NON-STOP!!!" eventually bethesda removed the special map marker that came with a fallout 1st subscription.
Just a little nuke)
Also I would love the Old Gods of Appalachia to see some love from the podcast.
We still doing Dark Sun????
yes its literally next on the schedule
Yes. Good.
I had some fun in 76, then I got to the coal feilds. The utter... devestation and corruption of the land was so disturbing that I stopped the game, had a panic attack, and a few days later I was writing off a full college semester to get my head back on straight (that worry had fed into a series of other worries and things had just spiraled all at once)
Yees new fallout episode!
Sweeeeett!!!
