Vampire Origins | World of Darkness Lore
Join Dk, Kirioth and special guest PancreasNoWorks as we crack open The Book of Nod to uncover the terrible truth behind Vampire: The Masquerade. So…Cain was like nah I’m proud I killed my brother but I will not forgive myself…HWAT
Joined for the World of Darkness and can’t wait for the Mage episodes for The Technocracy and the Wraith episodes for all that happens there hoping the get up to all the shenanigans that happens.
Joined the patreon to say that WoD pulled a WH fantasy. Had an end of the world because Gahenna happens. Rebooted into New WoD with mostly different lore with more ambiguous origins for vampires from Voodoo to Longinus. Then they realized people liked the old lore so they reimagined old WoD into 5th edition. New WoD became Chronicles of Darkness and then added The God Machine Chronicles going into 2nd edition. Soooo pick your branching timelines.
Lay every curse upon him you want, my man stands on principle.
I can't believe all the Camarilla propaganda at the end there. (Great episode though! Cannot wait for y'all to dig deeper in. And you're going to have WAY more than 4 Mage episodes.)
Amazing episode! Can't wait for the Mage The Ascension episode in the future. Also, Pancreas has fallen into the trap and now is part of the podcast, just like (I like to think) Shy had planed all along
Im waiting for the mage the ascension/ mage the awakening lore video!
Great episode! I'd love for y'all to tackle the Borg from Star Trek in a future episode. Maybe even something like Species 8472 or The Dominion
I love acceptable looses and I have been waiting for the world of darkness episode! This is gonna be amazing
very happy to hear there is more WoD to come, and I agree, Mage lore is just insane, even without the Technocracy shenanigans
With like 7 different game lines. Each holding episodes worth of lore to go over, AND the Chronocles of Darkness, which is its own series, there might ACTUALLY be 33 episodes or more worth of content to talk about
I haven’t finished so maybe it gets addressed or I missed something, but the Vampire: The Masquerade game is not the origin point of vampire. World of Darkness is a ttrpg setting, all the game lines (Or splats as it is called in the community) being in one world. The Vampire: The Masquerade game is based on the Vampire: The Masquerade splat. Think of it like what Baldur’s Gate is to DND kinda.
