Wicked Succubi: True Occult Forms Complete!!! v2.2.4eb

Hey silly, have you been thanked yet (click the link if not!!!)? This update has been a long time coming and some things are changing. In particular this is an end to discord betas, more on that later.

In my initial post I mentioned there were 3 parts to getting a true occult form working. The first was application during live gameplay, the second was saving/loading the occult form, and the last was editing the occult form. In the last update to the True Occult Form system, all these were completed but the very first, application. Only the outfit parts would be applied to the human form of your succubus during live gameplay but I’m proud to announce that this is no longer the case. Succubi’s occult forms are now fully functional.

As the above image and the title card suggests, this means that you can make your occult form look different than your human form, and not just via changes to the body but also the face. Want a nerdy human form and a super thick slutty occult form? Now you can! Speaking of outfits…

The completion of the occult form also means that outfits are now working as expected, keeping in mind the special rules around the genetic occult outfit (everyday 0). Not only will the correct outfits finally show in the change outfit menu while you are in your occult form, but you can also, just like maxis occults, have different number of outfits per category than your human form. When changing to your occult form the goo will be automatically removed from your outfit list, as expected.

Special Caution:

If you have succubi from back in the mannequin days, the ‘pseudo occult form’ days, then the game will get stuck in a forever loop trying to load. To resolve this, either load up the old succubus in version 2.2.2+ and desucc and resucc them then save and install the latest update or load into another household than the one the succubus is in and use the remote desuccing command, ‘n.unsucc firstname lastname’ to unsuccubus the sim and then load into their household and resucc them. If you are updating a succubus from the last true occult form update to this one, keep in mind you may get a skintone error from ww. This is harmless and should stop happening after your fist new save with your succubus.

The Most Important Caution:

Succubi are now fully using their true occult forms. Maxis’s cas system DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THEM. This means that to edit the human form of your succubus, do so via normal cas methods. To edit the occult form of your succubus, do so via the reforge self interaction in the mirror. DO NOT SWITCH TO YOUR OCCULT FORM AND THEN TRY TO BRING YOUR SUCCUBUS INTO NORMAL CAS. Maxis’s code will freak out and may corrupt your sim’s data. I’ll continue looking into methods of blocking this from happening incase you forget to humanify your succ before bringing them into maxis cas but it won’t be high priority since it is something which is so easy to work around.

All Betas Must End

I know the discord exclusive betas have been frustrating and none-ideal but it had to be done that way. Many, including me, wondered if we’d ever get occult forms working and I knew that when I did, there was sill a possibility that bug could break something critical in a very serious way. However, now that True Occult Forms have been finished ahead of schedule and the systems explored, there is no need for discord betas at his time. If you were unable or unwilling to get discord integration to work and frustrated that you couldn’t get access to the latest version of the mod. You don’t need to worry about this anymore. Beta is over, which also means the #sanctuary and #velvet-room channels will be closing on the discord. Thank you to all those who participated in it, especially to my moderators Katie and Jarl who helped me track and further document bugs during the process and those Patrons who painfully tested the unique hard to reproduce bugs which sometimes took days to isolate.

Some Major Hidden Changes

The effects of Succubi are going to be felt well beyond Succubi. Succubi have shown me a safer and more robust way to apply extra cas parts. Extra cas parts refer to things such as blush, Sensually Tight Effects, Heart Eyes, Hypno Eyes, and so forth. It will be a process to move everything over to this new system. Sensually Tight, for example, will need to be rewritten to support this new system. For now, blushing, heart eyes, hypno eyes, coke eyes, and succubi sweat has been brought over to the new system. I’m not expecting any problems but still an exciting achievement worth noting!
