Welcome to The Asmodeus Eyes
Hi — I’m Lux Elly, the creator of The Asmodeus Eyes
My initial concept was simple: "What if the system from those classic Eroge games I used to play—where you can see people's status—actually existed in the real world?"
That question led to the creation of TAE (The Asmodeus Eyes), a system akin to a curse bestowed upon a total loser.
The original theme comes from a web novel I wrote 8 years ago. Back then, to chase views and sales, I had to write it as a trendy "Power Fantasy" revenge story. However, for this game, I’ve completely reinterpreted it.
There is no power fantasy here. No shallow, gratifying revenge. Instead, I focus on the darkness hiding beneath the masks of people in "Mihong" society. From small issues like school bullying to major social scandals seen on the news, and even famous tropes from manga, doujins, or anime. When you look through the Asmodeus Eyes, you might discover a reality far darker than what you’re used to in fiction.
Gameplay Features: The core is a standard Visual Novel, but I’ve added the variety found in the Eroge games I grew up with. It’s not just about answering questions to enter a route. You have to explore and farm stats, similar to games like Tokimeki Memorial. For example, if you want to pursue the library girl, you need high Intelligence, so you have to play minigames or study to raise your stats.
Exploration: The game features map navigation and point-and-click mechanics using a retro "2D-in-3D" POV style. You use your power to scan the city for anomalies, clues, or items to unlock new routes.
Resource Management: The people in the city act like monsters in an RPG—you "farm" them for LP to buy items and skills. You also need real-world money, earned through part-time job minigames. Each workplace has its own unique NPCs and relationship routes.
Time System: A full 24/7 time system with Hunger and AP (Action Points) management.
Story Structure: The narrative is split into two parts:
Main Story: Focuses on the protagonist and his family's secrets (Early game).
Side Stories: Optional routes involving NPCs in the city and school. These are adapted from real news and Doujin tags, covering dark themes like NTR, drugs, and the underground sex trade.
That’s the overview for now! I will gradually post previews of each feature soon. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting this project.
