Short-Term Roadmap For Upcoming Character Mods

Wanted to take the opportunity to lay out the plans and relative time frames for upcoming character mods I have in the pipeline, so people know what to expect and when.

I just now finished wrapping up some additions to Aria's robot version over on Gamebanana, something I promised them for getting to 500 Likes. That should 100% be it for Aria's base mod. Starting today, Aria's skin is the priority.

Unfortunately getting to the skin took longer than I had hoped. Going in depth, making the Aria robot form part of her mod, set me back a bit. And if I'm being honest, I really didn't give myself enough time for Aria's mod pre-release. I wanted more of it done before her banner dropped. Just something I'll learn from for future mods, I guess.

If you're playing or following Arknights, you know that Tangtang is about to release with 1.1. I'll plan on dropping a mod for her shortly after the patch releases. Because of the aforementioned setbacks, Aria's skin will probably not be finished before Tangtang drops, but I will release what I have finished of her skin mod in the next day or two, so you can at least enjoy that in the meantime. The rest of it will be finished shortly after Tangtang.

What that means for other mod projects, like Last Rite and Yixuan, is that they will have to be pushed back until after Aria and Tangtang are finished. New characters take priority, but I haven't forgotten the others. That gives me quite a plateful up until Rossi's banner, which should come about 2 1/2 weeks after Tangtang's.

I would say that in the short-term, after Last Rite and Yi Xuan are finished, given the rate at which new Arknights characters drop, I probably won't be able to dedicate time to other mod side projects. Of course, if I end up finishing something early and more time opens up, it may be possible.

Lastly, I haven't forgotten about mod creation lessons/teaching. I have been waiting until I am relatively caught up on mod projects before officially announcing anything. I would wager once Tangtang and Aria's skin is finished, I could begin some simplified lesson/teaching sessions, with the first individuals to request going to the top of the list.

I know there is a lot of controversy going on with Discord right now, with their planned age verification set to release sometime soon. I'm sure there are some who will decide to ditch Discord in principle. I'll plan to look for some alternative platforms as additional options to host sessions like this in the future, but as of now, I am most familiar with Discord when it comes to things like this. Hopefully you understand.
