Patreon Updates
Hello patrons! Thank you so much for being part of the Crash Course project! Yesterday we announced the new Crash Course brand look, and we're going to be making some changes here on Patreon as well. We hope that these changes will help us be better connected with you, our patrons, and offer new and exciting value for you.
Starting 10/22, we'll be updating our membership tiers and deleting retired tiers. Here's what this means for you:
$3 - You're a Crash Course supporter! You'll get occasional updates and BTS glimpses.
$5 - You'll get a monthly calendar wallpaper as well as occasional updates and BTS glimpses.
$10 - You're a Crash Course Insider! We'll share first looks at what we're working on, interesting tidbits we find along the way, and behind the scenes content that will keep you inspired and curious about the world around us.
$50 - You'll get all the other things, plus we'll thank you in the Dooblidoo of our videos.
$100 - You'll get all the other things, plus we'll thank you for your support publicly on social media.
$250 - You'll get all the other things, plus we'll thank you for your support in the credits of our videos.
If you are currently a member in a retired tier, we will send you a direct message. You will need to select a new tier in order to continue receiving perks associated with membership. If you do not select a new tier by 11/1, you will continue to be charged for membership, but will not receive any membership perks.

I wasn't affected by this, but because I've been enjoying the CC videos so much lately, I bumped myself up a tier. It's not a lot, but I figure every little bit helps. Thank you!

When you go to change your membership there’s an option at the bottom to pay annually
I have the same question. I also pay yearly and prefer to keep doing that.
You can absolutely continue to pay annually! When you became a member you still would have selected a membership tier. Those are the only things that are affected by this change.
I probably need more caffeine, but, I'm pretty sure I was paying annually to help reduce credit card fees, as well as making it easier for me to budget. So, will this mean the annual option is out?
Not at all! You can continue to pay annually, and no action is needed if you are not in a retired tier. If you're in a retired tier (meaning, we no longer offer your tier to new patrons) and you're paying annually, you'll need to select a new tier, but you can continue to pay annually.
