I took a “Religion & Star Wars” course in my undergrad!
This is the Crash Course I've wanted for 11 years. I'm very excited and looking forward to the CC treatment. I'm also looking forward to a thoughtful explanation of how they're going to handle the comments section.
We hold all comments for approval. While we appreciate healthy discussion and disagreement, this ensures that the comment section doesn't get out of hand (especially considering our videos are often used in educational settings). This topic is sure to generate plenty of interesting discussion and perspective sharing!
1) I'm worried about the comments section 2) I hope the non-Christian religions get just as much time as the Christian ones. By "just as much time" I mean each, 1 episode of Christianity means 1 episode of Islam and 1 episode of Shinto and 1 episode of The Satanic Temple and so on 3) Either the word "cult" is not used at all or only used in the technical sense of a religion that keeps things hidden 4) No one religion is given preferred treatment
A cult is a group of people united by a belief (or set of beliefs) and a charismatic leader. Most (if not all) religions started as cults, so the word will likely come up. I'm not sure what you mean by "keeps things hidden." What things?
Jedism is recognized by the US government so I would not be surprised if it is brought up.

I was just watching the mythology series the other day and wishing there was also a religion series. I guess my prayers were answered (get it? because crash course religions, prayers? haha?)
