We survived the Valve review! (+ Release Date & Keys)

I will get straight to the point: Valve has officially reviewed the complete build, and we got the green light. No blocking issues.

I'm not gonna lie to you guys, given the events of the past few years that many of you are well aware of, I have been an absolute nervous wreck this past month. We worked our asses off making sure every single detail in this massive build was strictly up to standard. Waiting in silence for their verdict was pretty exhausting, so seeing that "approved" email today was a huge weight off my shoulders.

The official release date across all platforms is Thursday, May 28th at 10:00 AM PT (Pacific Time).

I know you're probably wondering why we don't just hit the launch button right now. I want to be completely transparent with you about this.

First, the technical reason: while we were sitting in Valve's review queue, we kept testing the game and actually found a few lingering bugs. However, we were absolutely terrified to touch or update the build to fix them! If we had uploaded a new version, it would have instantly reset our place in the review queue and delayed the game by another month. Now that we are officially approved, we need this final week to safely implement those bug fixes, polish the 8 languages we added, and ensure your Day-1 experience is completely smooth.

Second, your Steam keys: I just requested the massive batch of ~5,000 keys for you guys. Valve processes these manually, which takes a few business days. To make sure the distribution goes smoothly, we will start sending them out to you in batches over the coming days as soon as we receive them.

A quick, but very important heads-up about your keys: If you receive your key and activate it on Steam before May 28th, the game will NOT download or launch yet. It will just sit in your library. This is not a bug and your key isn't broken! Steam physically locks the game files on their servers until the exact minute of global release. The download button will magically unlock for everyone at 10:00 AM PT on the 28th. So please don't panic if nothing downloads before then!

One last huge favor: Even if you are already getting a key from us, if you could take two seconds to wishlist the game on Steam right now, it would be an absolute lifesaver. Pre-launch wishlist spikes help us because the Steam algorithm pushes the game to the front page, so every single click helps secure the project's future!
