Tucker Carlson: The End of Men
Testosterone is lowering. Sperm counts are shrinking. Men, a once proud and noble half of the human race, are accelerating down the road to extinction. So say many natalists, who tie their fear of demographic decline into their anxieties about gender. But how much of what they claim has any basis in truth whatsoever? This week, June and Josh take a look at Tucker Carlson's 2022 Fox Nation short "The End of Men" to see how it both set a template for and propagated narratives about declining masculinity that have since become ubiquitous.

GLP-1s are useful and helpful, but I don't think it will lower the rates of diabetes. Diabetes happens to skinny and fat people, and professionals aren't sure of what causes the different forms of diabetes to occur. Also I am skeptical in GLP-1s for weight loss use, as we are not sure how long term use at the high doesages used for weight loss, affect the person. As once you are one them, you are on them forever unless you want to get the weight and then some back again. I know this is not what the podcast is about, but bringing up GLP-1s, diabetes, obesity and the very nebulous term of "ultra processed foods" and just kind of throwing the talking points out without any depth or care is really disheartening.
yeah - seconding this. i had much the same thought when listening to the episode and actually couldn't finish it, just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Everyone trying to pronounce pfas gave me flashbacks to my first conference presentation, I practiced pronouncing "Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances" for hours and still messed it up
