I used to believe the things I loved about making art would take me to where I've always wanted to be. Now I see that those things are what keep me caged. Nothing that comes naturally to me is the correct choice. I weep and wish things were effortless for me. I love doing what I do and I love the way that I do it, but it is a lot of work. My process is what I find the most fun, engaging, and gratifying. I never want to take any short cuts or subtract anything from myself, but I feel dejected.
I wish I was an automaton. I am tired of hoping.
Thank you for reading

Sending you a big hug, my friend! 🫂 You're such an inspiration for me and I always admire your hard work. It's gonna be okay, trust me ❤️🩹
Sending all the hugs!
I'm sorry you're feeling this way. You create amazing work and sometimes that really can take a toll on you. I'm happy you felt comfortable to share this with us. 🫂❤️
I'm sorry you're feeling down, Diz. I know things are hard for artists right now but you are a wonderful creator. I hope you find a path that works for you and things become easier.
Im sorry you feel this way. We are here for you always and always support you no matter what Dizy
It is a rough timeline. I've been thinking of you since you posted this yesterday, and I hope you're finding some of the peace and warmth sent your way.
I wish you peace, brothah
While I may not know the specifics of what you're going through, me and so many others love you to an extent that words can't describe. Your art is among some of the most incredible pieces seen, and your efforts are noted by so many fans who love you and what you do. No true artist or creative is "effortless", it is natural to be exhausted from creating art, and that is an utmost human aspect of making art. Taking a step away from your work and admiring it, letting yourself rest - it's likely that is what you need at the moment. I don't know an exact recipe to resolve what you're feeling, but take some time to relax, unwind, and reassure yourself of the truth that you are an awesome artist and human being.

I think that all real human artists have felt this way at some point in their lives. Your art is REAL, and that's better than what any "automaton" could shit out!
Yes, we hang on expecting the day when we can quit our "day job" but maybe the answer is finding a "day job" that is just (or almost) as satisfying as doing what you love! And they work together... but I am not one to talk!!
Dizy, I understand this feeling so much it’s not even funny. And I’m really sorry you’re feeling so dejected right now. But honestly, I wouldn’t trade the way you do things for anything in this world. I know it takes more time, and I know sometimes you probably wish you could just turn that part of yourself off and make everything effortless. But that process is also what makes your work yours. You said you never want to take shortcuts or subtract anything from yourself, and I really hope you don’t. Because there are plenty—seriously, plenty—of people who love the ins and outs of what makes a Diz work yours. The way you think through things, the time you take, the details you care about… those aren’t flaws that need to be automated away. I know that probably doesn’t make the exhaustion disappear, and I’m not going to tell you to just “keep hoping” when you’re tired of hoping. I just want you to know that the things that feel like they’re keeping you caged right now are also the things that make your work worth experiencing. Art is a process, not a race. You don’t have to become an automaton to make something worthwhile. And you don’t have to stop being yourself just because being yourself takes longer. Please be gentle with yourself. 💙✨
Is there anything we as your fans can do, to cheer you up? To make your career easier?
We love you so much and so dearly, Diz. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷🤍
I can’t speak for everyone, but I can speak for myself here when I say this. Your unique perspective and skill is why a lot of us keep tuning in. I hope your love for art can endure so that you can one day see the success you deserve.
It may not feel like the "correct" choice but so be it, I think there's beauty to be found in the "incorrect", between every line drawn over and over again. I wish that it wasn't a struggle but your hard work does not go unnoticed Diz! All the love, the fun, that fulfillment that you describe, it all comes through your art and that in turn enriches every day we get to appreciate it, and for that I always will sincerely thank you and I wish for you patience and rest, so that you can keep moving forward as you have in the past. You got this 💖
I’m sorry you feel that way Diz, but I think I understand the feeling. maybe not in the same way you’re feeling it, but generally. I also wish I could just make things when I wanted to, without overthinking or stressing about the time and emotional investment, and just have it be fine and perfect. But of course, it’s the artist’s thoughts and efforts in the moment of creation that makes art what it is. and even if you’re not feeling it right now, your art carries so much talent and passion in it. Even with pieces you might not be proud of or inspired by, it’s your wonderful mind that made them real. Nobody does it like you, Diz. they can try, but there is no replicating you. You’re one of the most impactful, talented, and important artists of my lifetime, without question, and I’d never in a million years dream of removing your thought process from your work for the sake of simply more output. Sorry for rambling at you, Diz. I just hope you know that an automated version of you wouldn’t be you at all, and wouldn’t make beautiful things the way you do. Even though self doubt comes and goes naturally, I hope you can keep that in mind. and I hope you’ll always be able to be reminded of that when needed. Thank you so much Diz. I hope I can keep making things like you do. 🤎
I hope you can get much better soon, and if you ever need someone to talk to, I would be willing to be there for you.
We're here for you Dizzy 🩷
I’m sorry your feeling down in the dumps Dizzy. I hope the fire in your heart reignites soon! ❤️
Feeling very similar sometimes in my art journey. I still try to take the pleasure and excitement from the little things, and it helps❤️️ Not to repeat the same old story, but I've really noticed this shift in many artists since AI got really popular. It also changed how general public interacts with art and media of all forms. Not much of it feels like a change for better, at least from my POV.
Diz, I know words may not bring you a lot of comfort with how you feel right now, but the fact that you are human gives your work so much life and brings happiness to those like myself that appreciate what you are willing to give us. I also understand that expectations don’t always meet reality and that forces us to evaluate our circumstances more often than we would like to. While I hope you do continue to pursue your artistic endeavors, please do what is right for yourself and be gentle with yourself while you work through your emotions. Much love and light! 💙✨
