Character Profile & Art: Elsa Dein
Name
Elsa Dein
Background
Elsa was raised in a safe, loving merchant family, knowing neither lack nor want. But her life changed at a young age when her family was murdered in a targeted attack, one orchestrated by her uncle driven by greed. At only nine years old, Elsa was the sole survivor. And her survival was owed to her older sister, Helena, who sacrificed herself to keep her alive.
In the aftermath, Elsa was taken in by a knight who had been close to her father and raised under his strict guidance. She was trained to wield a blade, taught combat, strategy, and the discipline required of a knight. What began as a desire for protection quickly became a natural talent, and her growth was exceptional. She surpassed her instructor sooner than expected, and before long had outgrown the peers who trained alongside her. Her skill and magic set her apart, earning her recognition as the youngest Gold-Rank knight in the kingdom.
But despite the strength she gained, the past never truly left her. The loss of her family left a permanent mark on her, and she lived a life mostly in isolation.
Until a chance encounter with a boy in the forest.
Magic & Blessing
Elsa is blessed by Lord Elios, God of Sun and Life (The One Light) Her power manifests as the ability to wield and shape light.
Core Abilities:
Light Construct Creation — She can create hardened, weapon-grade constructs of pure light, including swords, spears, lances, multi-layered shields, barriers, and domes. Even larger scale formations such as, “Cathedral of Light” a massive structured construct used for battlefield control, defense, or overwhelming presence.
Physical Enhancement — Enhanced speed, strength, and agility, as well as heightened perception (reaction timing, spatial awareness, and tracking movement in low visibility)
Flight — Full maneuverable flight, ability to dominate aerial combat.
(At full power, Elsa burns like a living miniature sun, radiating intense light and heat capable of blinding weaker individuals even at a distance and reducing a small town and its inhabitants to ashes)
Character & Personality
Elsa is compassionate, generous, and naturally inclined to protect others. Despite the strength she possesses, she’s neither arrogant nor prideful. She extends kindness even toward strangers and places the needs of others before herself.
But she’s also someone deeply guarded.
The loss of her family shaped her into a person who struggles to let others close. She is emotionally inexperienced, unsure how to process her own feelings, and often retreats into isolation when things become overwhelming.
Despite her intimidating reputation as a Gold-Rank knight, she is surprisingly easy to fluster. She becomes shy when faced with genuine affection, praise, or emotional vulnerability. Her serious and commanding exterior hides someone much softer than most people realize.
She has no great desires or ambitions, but a part of her would like to have a family again.
Relationships
Adam:
Initially someone Elsa was suspicious of, but over time he won her trust, and it quickly grew into deep attachment and then love. However, she constantly worries about him changing and becoming a worse version of himself.
Katryn:
Once a little sister figure to Elsa with a hidden crush. Their relationship has gradually shifted into something more intimate and complex, with Adam at the center.
Yara:
Katryn’s mother, and Elsa’s first true friend after losing her family. Yara often acts like a mother toward Elsa, constantly worrying about her, pestering her, and reminding her to take care of herself.
Elliot:
A trusted subordinate and loyal companion. Elsa trusts his judgment and relies on him when responsibility becomes too heavy. Their relationship is built on mutual respect and loyalty.
Lorelei:
A cordial relationship through Adam.
