A message to "The Sims 4" community.
I've noticed a pattern when it comes to the support and engagement I receive on my content, especially my builds. More often than not, the only time I hear from people is when something isn't working, something is missing, or someone needs help with a download.
Very rarely do I receive genuine compliments, appreciation, or even a simple thank you.
What's even more disheartening is seeing some of those same people actively engaging with other Sims 4 creators, leaving compliments, showing excitement, and praising their work. Yet when it comes to mine, that same energy is nowhere to be found.
I spend countless hours creating, decorating, testing, taking preview photos, and preparing content to share. A lot of my builds take days to complete, and I put a tremendous amount of effort into making them look as beautiful and realistic as possible.
I'm not saying anyone is obligated to praise me. However, it becomes incredibly discouraging when the only engagement I consistently receive revolves around complaints, technical issues, or requests for assistance.
I'm a human being behind these creations, too. I have feelings, responsibilities, and struggles outside of The Sims 4. Sometimes a little kindness and appreciation go a long way.
At this point, I'm seriously considering stepping away from creating builds altogether. I have a few more builds to drop and then I may possibly be done. Not sure if this will be with creations on Patreon period.
I genuinely love creating, but I'm tired of pouring so much of myself into something only to feel invisible until someone needs something from me.
I don't expect constant praise. I just wish the support, appreciation, and engagement were as consistent as the requests for help.

I found you on a search for Sims 4, and this post popped up. I don't use custom build mode objects, but I just wanted to stop and let you know how beautiful I think your builds are. If I wasn't running off a laptop with my graphics at medium, I would've already subscribed and downloaded everything. You can clearly see the massive effort put into each post. I've been a member of the sims community for a long, long time (multiple decades so you'd think my set up would be better) and I can still only peripherally understand, but i still do understand how ungrateful this community can be for no reason unless they need a bug fix. it matters to me when someone spends the majority of their time creating for a community I'm a member of. I hope you don't mind if I continue to follow along and drop likes and praise, even though I can't currently use everything you make. Thank you for all that you do, I am very glad I found this post.

Aww, I'm so sorry that you're feeling this way and I echo the sentiments of everyone else that this is so very common in this community to be used and abused as a creator. This is highly relatable in the sims community! You can pour love, sweat and tears into your creations and people are just up for grabs. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. People wonder why people step back or barely put that same energy in. It’s because they’re forgetting the creator behind it. This community is bias and it’s sad. I’ll encourage you to keep going and know there’s atleast ONE person rooting for you and so appreciative of what you bring to the table. I’m so sorry you’ve been feeling this way- I guess I understand the frustration of seeing perfection, downloading it and then it not translating the way you thought it would in your personal game; but the stuff I be seein ppl say is kinda nuts if I’m honest. I’m the type of person who will work with what I have and try EVERY avenue before asking anyone for help lol! I just wish that ppl understood their games are sorta like people in a way! Every one is different and reacts differently to different things! I truly hope this doesn’t discourage you from creating in general; even if you end up pulling away from Patreon.
