This movie was so fun! So a couple of things! There is a comic run that Marvel did in the early 2000s called the Young Avengers. Kate Bishop is part of that team! So is Cassie Lang (Ant-Man’s daughter). There was rumor for a Young Avengers project but it never came to pass! Young Avengers is pretty difficult to do because the team is primarily teenagers/young adults so trying to make a project where the actors eventually will age out is a very difficult thing to manage.
Kamala was never on the Young Avengers, but she was in a separate team called Champions with Miles Morales in the comics! But again, when it comes to a teenage superhero team in this type of landscape… it’s very hard to keep them as teens when each project takes about 2 to 3 years to come out😭
