Okay so hear me out lol Starstruck was supposed to be stuck in the suburbs for that generation at that time period because this was an era of when Justin Bieber first hit the scene and had everyone obsessed and Disney knew that and basically "took" without actually taking, his asethetic and influence to make this movie lol Now if you watch stuck in the suburbs you're gonna see ( gonna say this with spoilering it for you ) that one the characters is highly based off of a famous celebrity from the 90s and early 2000s and you're gonna be like " hold TF up Disney , I see what you are doing " That's all I'ma say without saying too much. But I believe that you would love stuck in the suburbs way more . 😁😁

Lol! I love your reactions to Jessica! It was the "not like other girls" era and I was living for it. However, now that I'm older I see how she can be insufferable if you don't have nostalgia. She never really apologized for being rude, she just read him for filth and moved on as if she too wasn't flawed. They didn't kiss because Danielle (Jessica's actress) was 14 years old and Sterling was 20 during filming. At least Disney realized it wouldn't be a good idea this time unlike with Another Cinderella Story. They had Selena,who was 16 at the time, kiss Drew Seeley (the voice of Troy in hsm 1 songs) who was 26. You are right Disney gave us unrealistic standards for guys while simultaneously having us accept bullshit. I can think of 3 main pillar Disney shows that had the "go back to your cheating ex" trope. In each one of those shows, the girl had a better man lined up and it got sabotaged to go back to the longer love interest (I say longer cause sometimes it wasn't even the og). I will never forgive Disney for that. Some of these take backsies destroyed these female characters development and future stories and it went on for way too long!
