And I have been a hockey fan for a long time, but not obsessively. It's always insane to me to see how much of your lore shows up in media (books, movies, shows, etc). NOT SHERLOCK! The trauma. (Love all things Sherlock Holmes, but oof it was real). I love how into this you both are. It's so fun to watch. I love that you both love the characters that are more like you (when you see s2 or read The Long Game specifically it's a lot). Going to watch all the rest <3.

My two cents looking at some of the comments: you guys don’t need to uncut/unedited react to the show. Hey Hey!! loving this Philm Club idea!! I don't know if you guys are taking requests, but I really think you both would LOVE fellow travelers (not just because of Johnathan Bailey), but because it's a literal masterpiece put to TV. It's heartbreaking and harrowing, but in an amazing way and super relevant when it comes to content and themes, though it only takes place between the 1950s and 1980s. I was legit changed after I watched it! Very gay, very emotional, and just absolutely beautiful! (definitely learn a lot about American history while watching, too particulary with the Red Scare and the Lavender Scare). I learned so much about gay history that I was never taught in school. As a bisexual woman (and future English Teacher), it is a super intellectual piece with a lot of spice, but it isn't overdone in my opinion! I think you both would love it!!!

I may have an unpopular opinion. I watched like 2 min of this video and then decided I wanted to watch the show alone for a first impression so I binged the whole show and then watched the reaction. So anyway, imo the tension wasn’t even that good in it. Getting to know each other and the tension before anything happens is always the best part. Especially if it has this “taboo” aspect to it that they need to overcome. But they hooked up basically instantly. It was so out of nowhere. Less tension and looks than Boots lol. And we didn’t even get to see anything about the characters on their own before they met. I wished for them to be a bit more established first. And ofc not enough Hockey ^^ I still don’t know how that sport is even played. It was basically just a soft porn 🤷

I was initially severely put off by this show because of how explicit it is and how that started the narrative of this show. But my sister recommended it to me and told me “You’re going to fucking cry just trust me,” and she was right. Also!! Fuck it, I’ll say it, this show displays the realities of a relationship! You CANNOT discount sexuality when talking about about sexuality! The sex scenes are not just sex scenes for the sake of it, they are legitimate tools for the character growth, environment and story progression. I loved that!! It’s less “ooOoH HoT aNd StEaMy” and more “oh okay…this is where everyone’s head is at and what that does for the dynamics between the characters and their environment.” Loved it, love that Yall are watching. I will now be praying to my silver screen shrine for a lesbian sport drama that embraces more butch aesthetics.

I will be so real - yeah, there's a number of explicit scenes, but it's kind of important to the actual story. It isn't just for the sake of it. You can probably skip through them and look up a summary. The show itself is honestly so good, the final 2 episodes hit REALLY hard. (I also thought it was a bit too smutty in the first couple of episodes but retroactively it makes a lot of sense, it makes the later episodes hit harder!!)
