TBF, the wolf probably hasn’t even heard of the Basitins, and them being a warrior culture. He doesn’t expect him to actually be able to fight– many brave souls are willing to pick up a weapon to defend their home when attacked, but it usually takes a lot of training and/or conviction to actually go through with killing someone face-to-face. Even soldiers sometimes hesitate to actually kill in battle. But Keith does have training and conviction, and the experience of fighting and killing before, so he is able to go through with it.
Well this deserves some follow up art. (like the trace destroys a village but spares Laura mini arc) Tom love your stuff as always.
Just going by the title I was expecting Laura in a Power Rangers/Black Widow type catsuit (foxsuit?).

That sword of his seems off in proportion. It's a shorter blade, sure, but does a shorter weapon need both hands on the hilt?
Considering the height of the average Basitin, perhaps this is their version of a long sword.

Why are there people here who think this wolf looks like Thanatos from Puss in Boots? He looks nothing like him save for the evil grimacing demeanor. Does every menacing anthro wolf with a curved weapon look like the Wolf from Puss in Boots to you?

And of course the scythe shaped weapon does nothing to help that look. Right? Actually, when I first looked at this drawing that was the first thought that crossed my mind.

The lead wolf looks like death from Puss & Boots

To each their own, but holy shit is he tall. I know Keith's no towering inferno but that guy's gotta be pushing 7 feet standing straight.
