"Even if my hate for the keidran kind hasn't change i don't seem to be able to mistreat her, perhaps i am going insane"

I really like the AU idea, it's really interesting and I would love to see more of it !

I'll be honest, I fixated on Laura addressing Trace as "Master," having not read the description fully. It left me thinking, "Wow, the other Patrons are such optimists. Why would a slave be so caring?" Then I went back and actually READ THE DESCRIPTION. She's using the title as an apprentice, not as a slave. Masks bless the optimists, as I seem to be an idiot.

Aaaand then she draws him out of his shell, he overcomes his inner darkness, they fall in love, happily ever after! :D

it's curious that the old trace wouldn't collar her. he must be feeling some serious conflict about his actions

I hope that if a new image is suggested that it's Trace having been memory wiped or something else that causes him to just start being openly nice to Laura.

i do wonder what he would do to her at this moment all i see for now he's using her as abit of a slave but since he spared her life he'd eventually loose his grim side and become understanding to how grim he has been then do what he can do right his wrongs

I see this as a love story in the making. Yes he did horrible things but Laura is there to heal his heart. Eventually she would reform him. She just takes the place of Flora and he never get amnesia. I guess in this world Keith and Laura would be a couple.

My head cannon is now that Modern Cinema AU "Trace" and "Laura" filmed this some time back and it's what first led to them starting to date and become a couple in the first place 😌

...but does Trace still hang Rose up on the 3rd floor...or does this eventually happen to Laura?

Considering the situation this is still somewhat.. wholesome? Even with Trace as he is right now, him taking in Laura shows he cares even a little. I really enjoy this scene, it’s an absolute great show of story telling in one image. Fantastic work!

I read this as Trace spaCes Laura and was trying to figure out if this was an among us crossover piece or if you just went into horror with no warning

This is Templar(!) Trace she now apprentices too. It was curious enough he would spare Laura because of who she reminded him of, but now? You can see enough, JUST ENOUGH, of the Old Trace here, leaving his darker self in much turmoil and conflict as this silly, stuttering fox continues showing him kindness. He really wants to be annoyed and cast her out, but he doesn't do that, and a cold command like that is about as best as he can show gratitude to a keidran. I like it!

I suppose in this timeline, Keith meets laura when everyone reaches the estate. That is, depending on how they get past the island without Laura's sacrifice.
