A Mother's Love
#2 Color vote from March, the most precious love of Lady Nora's past, suggested by Drazgon!
This one was quite the undertaking. I decided to give a full background for the future version of the fey mother, despite it only requiring a tiny sliver for the original sketch. So, consider it a bonus! I also included a full version of the baby dragon version, and attached a speechless version of the combined image as well.
Hera was the first child of Nora, back when Nora was just a young inexperience dragon herself. She loved her daughter more than anything and spent years looking for her after she vanished. She would never learn what happened.

You may want to add this to the Color Art category. Looks beautiful by the way, I think it's awesome you finished that extra background panel.
It’s so adorable then is immediately sad, poor mother
this is adorable and heartbreaking at the same time well done
The cutest little bab! Joy and tragedy! Beautiful work
Poor Nora
Tom I think you forgot that there were a sketch where Nora did meet with the Fey Mother
what sketch, hmm?
Oh, this art is so heartwarming. It just touches me when I look at these two. Very beautiful colors
These are excessively and equally beautiful, sad, and haunting. It makes me wonder if we will ever see Hera in the actual comic and/or if there will ever be a time when Nora finally finds her... would they even recognize each other?
Would that make Willow Nora's granddaughter?
i would believe so doesn't it make sense with what happened to her dearest daughter and how she got willow?
So many good desktop wallpapers
this is still lovely to see nora's soft side and sad her daughter got to what she is now and it's great it got coloured as the detail is looking nice and lush greenery
I know it took a lot of extra work, but the full sized version of the future fey mother is hauntingly beautiful...
hey, Tom. there is a typo in "beautiful"
Thank you! I was tired when tying it out and I'm constantly mixing up my letters these days.
What a wonderful moment for our future trickster dragon...of course this naturally raises the question of who was the father? Who would a young Nora love,?
Makes me wonder if Nora is aware of what happened to her, I was gonna say child, but children would probably be more appropriate.
I was wondering that too in the sketch version, but looks like Tom answered that in the text/description.
