If it's the 1950s, and Nat is still looking like a guy, Keith and Nat are going to have problems Real Soon Now. Not as big as the problem that Trace will have when Flora finds out about this date, but problems.
I think this image is set in the universe where these are the actors portraying the comic characters. The actors portraying Trace and Laura are a thing here.
🤣 love Natani stuffing the whole burger in her mouth.
I’m at a dinner right now and I can say Tom you nailed it
You better invite me next time ok? I'd be happy to pay for my parr of the food as i expect just being invited to hangout
I love Nat's outfit in this one, Tom. Very Danny Zuko/the Fonz. And that's a tasty looking burger he's monching on. Great work, as always! :3
The fonz. Yes finally someone who understands.
I'd love to visit the dinner every now and then to relax and i bet they also play calm music i do love natani is stuffing her face with that burger they must serve great foos then
I’ve got a few near me that I go to frequently
This reminds me of a local dinner near me, Kroll's dinner, they've got really nice prices and really great staff!
Very nice company enjoying dinner. I love their 50s outfits, they all look classy. Thanks
Kinda a repost below of a reply I made on the suggestion post, since it has been buried a bit now. First, I'd just like to thank Tom for the sketch! Looks great! However, I did notice some in the stream chat assume I meant the Backstage AU instead of the Modern AU. No, I very much intended this suggestion to be in the Modern AU. Unless you count the Backstage AU as a future point in the Modern AU, but I know there's split opinion on that. Recently in suggestions, Modern AU Laura has been hanging out with Keith and Natani, Trace showed up recently in the sketch 'Modern AU - Car Jump'. My thoughts are this is some unspecified time in the Modern AU future where they're hanging out as a friend group, with their respective partners. Possibly also a prequel to diner Laura, hence the 'Help Wanted' sign. She's gonna need a new source of income after her stream ban.
Trace is still with Flora in the Modern AU, though. The only AU where Trace and Laura are an item is Backstage.
So many AU's now to keep track of.. 😵💫
Laura: "The malts and doughnuts here really are tops! Are you sure you don't want any, Trace?" Trace: "When I'm with you, I've got all the sweetness I need" Laura: *full blush* Keith: *looks away awkwardly* Nat: "Man this is a tasty burger!"
I guess its Waitress Laura's day off,so she brough her friends and date for that employee discount. Also Out of frame: Greaser Brutus and Clovis messing with the Juicebox which ticks off Natani which leads to her confronting them which leads to a diner brawl involving copious amounts of thrown food, slang and fur grease.
And snapping of fingers in a catchy tune.
