This one must be redone in full colour.
I was not prepared for something so evil after the last sweet sketches this month. However, the result is (unfortunately) fantastic. The scene is impressive. Flora and Trace look so cool as an evil couple. Poor Reni tho. I am sure Nora would voluntary switch with her. For different reasons tho.

Amazing! Bound Reni really underlines the feeling of 'abandon all hope' radiating from this piece.
If this one get color i don't think Reni is gonna be solid black anymore. If they are using her as a mana battery they are basically draining her life force. Her scales would be a dull grey, maybe a dark grey but no longer pure obsidian black. Heck, Trace might have figured out how to extend the life of a keidran, by stealing life from a dragon.
And as a power couple they chained Reni to Trace’s throne.

Evil has never looked so good~ Imprisoning Reni sells they are evil, not just posing for a stern well-dressed portrait.
Why, it's their crowning achievement, why shouldn't they immortalize it along with themselves in a painting? Trace and Flora, masters of all kinds, even dragonkind. I daresay Nora would be proud of her young protege, even, for taking all that he deserves. What kind of man would take any less? The world took everything he cared about from him - his true love, right down to his last memories of her - it's only just that he should take back in kind.

Dark flora is just as sexy as regular flora
Flora for sure looks like shes got a large portion of the power in this dynamic, no mere arm candy here!
In this AU, I imagine that Flora figured out that she was intentionally led to Trace, and decided to make the most of this opportunity by seducing the Grand Templar, even helping him to recover his memories as a way of additionally ingratiating herself with him. She was unhappy with being offered as a bride to a wolf, anyways. "It's always those wolves," she might coo into his ear at night. "Those dirty, treacherous, mangy wolves." And why shouldn't she take some happiness for herself? She's a tigress, and a damn fine one, even if her own people couldn't see it. Keidran live such short lives anyways, there's simply no time to give of oneself without expecting something in return. And now her people have to respect her, because she has the mighty Grand Templar with her now.

You just had to put Reni in like that, didn't you? She probably realized just how unjust and dangerous a power couple they'd be and tried to stop it, paying dearly in servitude
she likely did and she doesn't deserve that she deserves love and massages and proper friends who would love to take care of her which i would love to try to take care of her

On the bright side, Trace having Flora as his dark consort/mistress may be a great way to improve Human-Keidran relations.

We gonna have the tension of Zen being on Legacy's side. Have the extra issue of the link. Fighting for Intel on both sides or trying to convince one another to each others side. "Brother, why don't you understand?!"

On one hand, this is AMAZING looking. On the other... chained and enslaved Reni.
Hmm. How would dark trace accept flora? There's the chance that choker is a slave collar. There's also the possibility that in this au she was aware during the ephemeral incident. Seeing euchre as a templar breaking her trust in him, and possibly her people. If trace's memories were triggered by the basitin tower incident that would explain why Nora hasn't stepped in for her descendant. She may favor trace, but with her dragon pride I don't think she'd be THAT aloof about a captured dragon.

Poor Reni. Why does she have hair though?
Both Reni and Nora have what looks like 'hair' or 'manes' in multiple pictures, though it's hard to tell if they're really hair-like or like longer, flexible scales, or perhaps more like the 'feathers' that we now are thinking dinosaurs had. My guess is they're probably similar to hair and nails on humans (some kind of evolutionary remnant), or they could be a conscious choice to better fit in with the other races, though pictures of very young Reni seem to have similar 'hair' so it's likely natural. I don't think we've seen many dragons so far (that we know of anyway) so it's difficult to know how common that is.
