I am of the strong opinion that Brutus isn't dead until another character finds his body and confirms his death.
I agree with you, though if he is deceased, I hope that he's found in time to revive him and convince him he's making a big mistake associating with Clovis.

Well, "deceasing" sounds like the recent killing of Brutus by Clovis wasn't the first time he did it. Of course, deceiving would work, too, since Clovis definitely isn't trustworthy.
