It would appear he had a rather active night and certainly happy to see whoever just came (back?) into the room. Any morning one can wake up is a good morning. Finding someone that is going to give morning tummy rubs takes that good morning and spins it into a great morning.
Actually, Brutus just might be having a normal and active morning, and I think more than one of us can confirm the chaos our woofers bring when it's time to get up (when they want us up) XD
