Familiar Grief 2

Maddie: Kieth, you've lost so much and you're right it's not fair, but you can't keep doing this. Kieth: what does it matter? all the people I care about are gone. Luara, Alaric, my mom, my dad, and now- Maddie: Kieth, look at yourself! Is this what Natani would have wanted? No! kieth: (sniffles) Maddie: *sigh* Kieth, I'm sorry. I know how it is. when you lose people, it feels like the world is going to colapse around you. but doing this is not going to bring him back. Kieth: ...you're right. (stands up) Maddie: c'mon, let's go honor our friend.

I'm crying rivers over here. This is such a powerful, sad picture and scarily a scene most likely to happen at some point in the future, considering the different lifespans of Basitins and Keidrans. Maybe not exactly like this, but Keith finding himself in a situation where he is going to mourn the loss of his loved ones once more... I hate to think about it, but it might easily happen...

Really tragic picture.... Which my brain successfully ruins by thinking they're in a McDonalds because of the M-like carvings on the wood of the bar...

Aaah, feels, too much 😭- get back down! Uh, uh, so, how is that bottle in the middle still on the counter? It looks like it’s way past the tipping point it would’ve fallen off. Is Nat’s invisible spirit holding it and chugging the rest of it?

The older Maddie gets, the more she looks like her Mom.

(And now a joke one to lighten the mood...) Natani: "Oi! Are you telling people I died so they'll give you free drinks again?" Keith: "Sometimes it's like I can still hear his voice!" Natani: "That's because I'm right here, ya big-eared lush!"

Keith: "Snf... Why do I keep letting this happen to myself?" Maddie: "Because it was worth it. Because the love we feel is bigger than the hurt it brings." Keith: "Well this hurt feels pretty damn big." Maddie: "I guess... that means you loved him an awful lot, huh?" Keith: "...I did. I do."

I feel horrible for both of them, Madelyn acknowledges she will lose Maeve and go through the same thing Keith did with Natani, it’s so sweet to see her comfort him
