So this all makes me wonder could a keidran use a human as a mana crystal?
The wizard equivalent to the barbarian picking up a dude to beat up another dude
She Blinded Me, With Sci- Magic! (for those who don't get the reference, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V83JR2IoI8k "Good heavens Miss Silverlock, you're beautiful!")

When you actually think about it the fact that humans have a core of magic Keidran don't and Basitians have no magic whatsoever but supreme physical ability while Keidran have superior physical ability compared to humans who have the least powerful physical ability. It seems as if it was a balancing of a character sheet...why do I suddenly think the masks are just a bunch of dorks playing a giant game of D&D?
I'm pretty sure the masks are Law-Basitin, Neutral-Keidran, and Chaos-humans.
Interesting limitations of humans.
I see "Blah Magic Blah" all I can think of is David Bowie's "Dance Magic Dance"
I saw my Rainey Nerding hard as Raine could nerd What could I do? And then she turned to the class And asked, "Why are most mana stones blue?" Nobody knew! What kind of magic spell to use Squirrels and snails? Or basitin tails? Thunder or lightning? Then Rainey said...
Student: "Professor Silverlock, what about the magical nature of dragons?" Raine: "I'm afraid we don't have time to cover that in as much detail to do it justice, though if your interested in the subject I would recommend you to Professor Nora's 'Dragons and the Rules of Magic' course." Student: "How many credits is that class?" Raine: "... it's a PHD program."
Also, that program comes with a warning: do not excite or provoke, or attempt to seduce a dragon, especially not an old one.
I’m Hot for teacher. But for real real. I miss this. In person class. This online stuff sucks.
I'm an actual teacher and shit, man. I'm right there with you.
...okay. Gonna have to read this cause I think that this might be a lore dump
so basitins are adepts... cool :D
As I stated in chat last week; there's something about seeing someone be so unashamedly enthusiastic about sharing things they're passionate about that is just... unf!... So attractive to me! Like, yes, Raine! Do you, girl! Freak out with your geek out! Talk nerdy to me, baby! That goes for all of you out there, too. Never be embarrassed to wear your passions on your sleeve. If something interests or excites you, tell people about it! Tweet the deets! I promise you that there is someone out there who will be interested in what you have to say and love you for it. Give. Us. That. FIYAH! :D
Smart girls = best girls
I like the theory about Bastins. Explains how Adelaide get a massive strength bonus, and Maddie has a ridiculous stealth bonus.
It just makes soooo much sense
Me with my Nebula armor and mage build:....
With stardust in the back pocket right?
Prof. Raine: *Excited explanation of detailed mana lore.* Red: "Uh-huh. Uh-huh..." *Scribbles in notebook.* Prof. Raine: *More enthused strings of jargon.* Red: "Ooookay." *More scribbling.* Prof. Raine: "-And those are the basics of mana theory! Hee-hee!" Red: "Wow!" *Finishes scribbling.* Prof. Raine: "I think that's an excellent stopping point for the day! Now, if everyone could please pass your notes to the front of the class, I can grade them for completion and you can be on your way." Red: "Grade for... completion?" *Glances at notebook. Blushes. Gulps. Shoves notes into middle of stack.* Prof. Raine: "And let's see what we have he- Oh! Um... Instead of written notes, someone seems to have elected to draw a series of... sketches... of me... with hearts around my face? And in one of them I seem to be... oh... um... Oh, my." *Blushes. Clears throat. "Well, while these are certainly... creative... I'm afraid I can't accept them as completed lecture notes. Can whoever made these please come collect them?" Red: *Shuffles forward. Gingerly takes notebook. "Uh... Thanks professor. Quick question?" Prof. Raine: *Blush deepening. "Y-yes?" Red: "...When was the last day to drop classes, again?"
Cute and educational! Professor Raine is adorable. So excited to share that book learning!
Oh yes Raine is very cute.
More world building lore!
tasty tasty lore, mmm
Raine: One look at Niels Bohr's atomic model makes it abundantly clear that there is a way to pass through solid matter. So in summation, we can have our daily tea-party in the fifth dimension. (Aqua Teen Hunger Force reference)
So does that mean Raine loses her core when she shifts back and forth?
Wouldn't she fall into the "mana-born Keidran" category? Half human (powerful mana user at that) and half Keidran whose family has a mana-born streak. I remember she used magic while as a wolf, don't think she carries crystals as she was never trained in magic. Must be some unexplained special property of mana-born Keidran, maybe a smaller core? I'd like to know more world lore!
My goodness. With that smile, that tail wag, and that cute bow tie? She looks positively adorable!
Gotta love the lore sketches
ohhhhh, maigc
I'll be applying for her class.
I want to take this class =/
I like this! I hope there's a part 2.
I hope we eventually learn what exactly happened to Vehra and if it's reversible.
I actually like this, it's very informative
I agree it’s good to learn these things
I will be attending her class everyday.
