Such a chill look, just some nice relaxing music
Modern Kat wears more clothing. I feel like modern Kat has a different upbringing and is probably a lot more educated and better off than the Kat that we know. Something about this Kat screams 'college student' to me. She sits at her desk with her music, and working on her homework, or is cramming for a test. I wonder about Nora's role here. Is she Kat's pet? She seemed to be into that sort of thing.
Pet/guardian is what I'm thinking.
Nora: Do you even know how to write? Kathrin: No. Nora: Then why are you still writing? Kathrin: I want to pretend I’m writing. Nora: ……….I give up.
Not to be "that guy" but Kathrin is one of the few Keidran in the main cast that is literate.

I'll just say; I walked outside for lunch break earlier, and there was some Basitin dude frying DRAGON EGGS on the sidewalk! As a former Keidran socialite once said, '...that's hot'." Kat: "Snnrk. You're such a dork, Eric. Nobody is gonna get that reference." DJ-EV: "But enough about stupid references only two people will get. It's HOT! We need to cool down, chill out, crank the AC and beat this heat!" Kat: "Blech. Got that right." *Wipes sweat from brow.* DJ-EV: "Well, never fear, cool cats and Keidran. Your pal EV has you covered. Coming at you COLD off the presses, we've got the new hit single 'Ice Mage' from that dastardly duo, Prince of Greeeeeeed! Stay frosty out there, Mekkan!" Kat: "Ew. I hate those guys." Nora: "Tssh. Me, too." Kat: "Did... did you just talk?" Nora: "Uh, I mean... Meow?"
Was the last part a Sonic reference? also fact that Eric became a radio worker is kinda nice, least he isn’t painting keidran.
