I’m sorry, but I imagine Brutus with a Russian Accent like LifeOfBoris on YouTube, but slightly deeper
"I don't think you understand. I'm not trapped in this dark alley with you... you're trapped in this dark alley WITH ME."
Good boy. He Protec.
Boss Music starts playing
Brutus and Clovis have a better romance.
It's a "better love story than Twilight" as the old cliche goes.
When Brutus was introduced I got the feeling that he would be like this. He seems so unassuming but he raised through the ranks for a reason right?
often the nicest people are the most dangerous when pressured. ^__^ ♥
Awesome work! Sketches of action scenes are too few
Brutus: BRUTUS SMASH LITTLE MEN!! LITTLE MEN LEAVE BRUTUS ALONE!! BRUTUS STRONGEST THERE IS!! RAAAAH!!!!
Clovis, after this, I think your "sister" should pay Brutus a visit to "nurse him back to health" (after you magic up your own, that is), maybe with a nice bottle of wine. I think he deserves it, eh?
I swear that'd be an excelent follow-up for this piece. I'll vote for that.
Oof. They should have brought more men...
More men = More things for Brutus to throw at the other men.
But where did he get pants?
He has them for Clovis' sake
And now you all, picture the tragedy that will happen if (or when) Brutus goes back to Clovis and the mage orders him to kill our heroes. This so lovable brute, charging all fangs out, maybe managing to kill one or several good guys (considering this image he'd have no problem with Lynn, Maddie, Eric, Evals, Mike... many of them aren't even fighters), and finally being taken down by the big hitters (Trace, Natani... especially Natani, who has a grudge against his boss, bringing them into direct conflict). So would fall a nice wolf who could have been a good friend and ally to the team but who ended on the bad side of the line because of fate, dying for a boss who, even if he loved him, would have never been able to reciprocate the feeling out of fear of behind betrayed or discovered a female, and too blinded by his ego, paranoia and greed to be able to love Brutus as much as the latter does love him, even if he desperately tried.
Hence his name, he Brutally killed the attackers
[Yet another AU] Brutus will defend Clovis to the end if necessary because protecting family and the pack is the most important thing. No one will hurt his older half-brother. Clovis is the only family he has left after their parents abandoned them - or so Clovis told him.
This ship needs to set sail!
Side series please
Also keep in mind that Brutus was one of the false templars in the attack on Edinmire, so he’s also well capable of magic himself
Yes but, if he's fighting someone who can actually defeat Clovis, will Brutus be able to will?
See, I somehow pictured combat Brutus being just about as friendly and (seemingly) clueless as normal Brutus. Something like "Hey fellas, the Boss doesn't like to roughouse, but I can play with you for a bit. Let's be careful, ok? 😊" But this is pretty great :)
Clovis: *Prepares to use his last mana crystal to bamf out, but... pauses.* Brutus: *Wild-eyed, snarling, and more serious than Clovis has ever seen.* "What are you waiting for? Go!" Clovis: "...B-Brutus?" Brutus: "GO!" Clovis: "Nnngh!" *Bamfs* Big Baddie: "My, how heroic. I don't think I've ever seen a wolf so eager to die for someone so willing to abandon him at the first sign of trouble." Brutus: "Grrrrr... You're wrong. I'm not dying today, and the boss didn't abandon me. He's coming back." Bid Baddie: "HAHAHAHA! Your optimism is so refreshing. Shame I have to-HHRRGGKKK!" A few minutes of Brutus going One Man Wrecking Crew later... Brutus: *Panting and wobbling on his feet* "Ha! Ha... Told ya you were wrong. I ain't dying today! Woof..." Brutus: *Noticing arrow in shoulder as he limps to lean against nearest wall.* "...Owie." *Whimpers* Brutus: *Aching. Bleeding. Vision going grey.* "It's okay, Brutus... He'll be back. Just you wait..." *Whines and slides to heap at base of wall in ball of pain.* Brutus: "...He'll be back."
I would expect the same. On the other hand - Of course he will be back. Clovis forgot to get the wine cellar key back from the last time Brutus fetched some. Also, Brutus is the only one that knows the right lever to pull to get into the secret lab.
Reminds me of that "Natani defends Keith" piece
Tom just cannot leave stuff alone he has to keep messing with it he made changes since the stream. Good one. I still think that in the story Brutus is gonna be one of the most difficult to fight warriors in the whole series
WoW. Strong. Powerful. Brutal. Now this is one of my favorite sketches.
That reminds me of the Feral Natani pic.
He attac, he protecc, bit most of all, he Brutus!
He protecc, he attacc, he show you how he earn dat snacc!
Natani somewhere celebrating, "The arrow got him! It actually GOT HIM".

*he secretly disappointed though it hit best boy Brutus and not Clovis* :c
good boi
Wow, Brutus is scary when he is serious. No wonder why he is Clovis personal bodyguard.
Brutus: *Brooklyn accent* "I told ya ta back off! Gods, aren't ye listenin'!? Hah... ngh... a'ight let's see ya try that again! C'mon!"
Why do I see Clovis being so conflicted. On one paw, image of badass to uphold. on other paw, Brutus did save his life.
He's probably wondering why anyone would actually risk his own life for someone else, even if that's basically their job. He would never do so and can't imagine anyone doing so.
Brutus is best woof
Bad guys meet badass.
He gonna get a reward later
It seems his loyalty will know no bounds, and cannot falter.
Brutus looks almost feril
Brutus is one tough guy with a friendly personality
Brutus be like activate instant kill
And this is why Clovis is the perfect wolf guy Clueless, gentle and caring, while at the same time being savage and brutal to anyone who dares hurt his boss
There's a guy I've known from work for years, named Larry, and I still want to call him Anthony for some reason! Why? WHY, brain?!
That day, Clovis was amazed to discover that when Brutus was saying "Yes Boss," what he meant was, "I love you."
💜💜💜 what a good boy
I had an idea for a sequel to this where a concerned Clovis tends to Brutus' wounds, but I would have preferred if it were Fem!Clovis and Brutus says "Thanks, boss" to imply he knew the whole time. It doesn't quite make as much sense as a direct sequel to this since this is Pre-TDM, but I think I'll suggest it anyway
...do it
OwO
