It's ok Ladies, it just shows you pay attention to personal grooming and Hygiene. Nothing to be ashamed of. :) (Also reminds me of Fulliautomatix from Asterix at the Olympic Games doing the ear scratch with his leg to try prove he was better than Dogmatix, XD!
Trace: "Hey, girls. Uh... What are you doing?" Flora, spies scritching and licking: *GASPS!* "...Fleas." Kat, Mike, and Evals: "Fleas!?" Sythe, Zen, and Nat: "FLEAS!!!!" All: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-" *A few hours and two thorough flea-baths later* Kat: *tsk* "Honestly, you two. I get that you're new to this, but SAY something to somebody next time." Maren: "Hey, give us a break! We're not used to these bodies! It's not like there's a class for this stuff!" Kat: "A class, huh? Well that settles it then! Seeing as this is becoming a semi-regular event around here, I guess there's only one option. Round up all the humans!" Maren, Raine, and Trace: "Uh..." Kat, putting on glasses and teacher outfit: "It's time for Keidran 101." Maren: "What have we gotten ourselves into this time?" Raine: "I dunno. But seeing Kat in those glasses makes me feel funny in my, erm... tail." *Blushes*

i don't think they can flax as much as the real deal... so I can't see this being the real way they clean themselves, but aye, what do I know.

I've seen both cats and dogs lick themselves and scratch with their hind paws, though certainly it's more common in the respective species.

Even though, they are doing what it for different reasons, cause' cats lick themselves to wash their fur (not necessarily because they have fleas) and canines definitely scratch themselves because of the fleas...
No only because they have fleas, it is also an instinct. Our pupper does it from time to time, and I am pretty sure he does not have fleas.
