When I first saw the thumbnail of this, I thought it was a take on Basic Instinct.
Laura as the Grand Templar sitting in a chair reminds me of the Bad Endings in the Sega Mega Drive / Sega Genesis Videogame Streets of Rage 1 from 1991 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=323S2dEGDQw) and the Bad Endings from the Fan-Game Streets of Rage Remake v5.1 from 2011 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63PqY5K2JuQ&list=PL_cKTOORd7MTTKDkshwGB0n65la6S1eSc).

Yeah. There's not really a way I can see this happening without either the use of magic to perhaps cloud how people see her, or through some really expert political maneuvering, neither of which are skills we have seen from Laura as of yet. <br>(granted this is just a sketch so the reality of the comic doesn't really matter, but still fun to think About)

You know, this sort of reminds me of the painting "Lucretia Borgia Reigns in the Vatican in the Absence of Pope Alexander VI" complete with the suggestion of foot kissing. Heh, maybe in this alternate universe Evil!Trace fell in love-at-first-sight when he rescued Laura and now she sometimes stands in for him at meetings, like Lucretia did for her father in the mentioned painting.
