Scythe should re-evaluate whether or not he is indeed made of stone. He has insisted he isn't but what is his problem here? I've we're being charitable maybe Scythe thinks Maren is shitface drunk?
As much as they might potentially secretly like each other, it’s not saying he’s stone-hearted to not immediately reciprocate “Maren’s” affection. If it was me and a friend I liked that I was merely cordial with, and she suddenly came on to me like that (even so far as beginning to strip), I’d take AT LEAST a few moments assessing and assuming she’s under the influence (whether drugs or magic), and not wanting to take advantage of her, no matter how much I liked her deep down.
For some reason when I see Maren in nibs' body doing that pose it reminds me of a wild western standoff lmao

Fuck yes. Seriously why does it take a body swap? Would it really be so out of character for Maren to just naturally hit it off with Scythe and end up like this by the end of the upcoming beach episode? I'm starting to feel like Nibbly's whole purpose in the narrative is to prevent Maren and Scythe's story from going anywhere.
Because stories do a little thing called "develop". If two characters met, were immediately compatible and entered a relationship with no problems or roadblocks, it'd be a short story... Or a Hallmark movie.

I like Sythe's expression here. I, too, would feel uncomfortable as well if my seemingly aloof friend decides to turn a 180 towards me in personality.<br>I like the return of Nibbly's bow. I almost forgot she occasionally wears that.
Seems like the only way Maren can get Sythe to realize what’s happening for positive is for her to put the bow on her human body, while they are awake.
Sythe: So you’ve finally warmed up to me, have you? Maren (squeaking in Nib’s Body): No!!! Did she just get me pregnant! Nibs (thinking in Maren’s Body): I just wanna snuggle. Us: Maren… this escalates to Nibs getting your body pregnant in precisely 12 hours if you don’t figure out how to solve the situation. Maren (squeaking in Nib’s Body): Who was that? Why can’t you tell Sythe what happened? Us: Uh… just call us your ‘Girlfriend’s Intuition’. Maren (squeaking angrily in Nib’s Body): HE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND! Us: Sure you aren’t a couple. Don’t blame us if you weren’t in your body to make love to him.
She’s both shocked and jealous! Also Tom kind of teased this in the newest page where Karen teased Maren for hanging out with sythe, looks like the ship is becoming canon after all! 😁 Bummer that the sketch of sythe and maren dancing didn’t come out, hopefully soon
