Sorry I haven’t done these. It’s been hectic and exhausting getting ready for my training graduation. <b>STORY-COMMENT™</b> A few handfuls of years later… Flora: “Yaaaah!!! It hurts!” Raine: “I’m on my way Flora! Hang on!” Flora: *Screams from the labor pains* Trace: *Faints* Raine: “Trace! Get off the floor! This is not the time to be a stereotypical father!!!” Trace: “Thought of blood… can’t stand it…” Raine: “Flora’s in pain! And despite everything you did before you lost your memory you’re thinking about what blood there will be!?” Zen: <“Did I hear Blood? I can...”> *starts getting wobbly, noticing the labor in process* <“oh… I don’t feel so well.”> In a different wing of the estate… Natani: <“Why am I feeling woozy all of a sudden?”> Keith: <“Whats wrong? Did you eat something?”> Natani (Who was meanwhile checking on Zen): <“Zen, you big baby. Flora’s in labor and Zen decided to turn green on me. Flora’s screaming from it. I think I’d be able to handle it like nothing.”> Keith: <“This just got as awkward as when i walked in and you were talking about maybe Sleeping, sleeping, with me.”> Natani: <“You hush. It’s not like I’m thinking we’ll have kids even if we tried.”> Several months later… Natani: “KYAaaahhhh!!!” *hair turns gold* In reality… Natani: “KYAaaahhhh!!!” <“Why did you do this to me Keith!? This is the worst pain I’ve ever been in!”> Keith: <“It’s not just my fault! You let me…”> Natani: *grabs Keith and nearly squeezes the life out of him* Keith: <“CAN’T… BREATHE!!! She was probably choked out.
On the one hand, I think Raine is probably too kind-hearted to approve of her mother threatening the midwife; on the other, I think if she knew Mary felt this kind of protectiveness toward her, it would go a long way to mending their relationship. ^_^

There are two kinds of parents: those like Raines mother here, and bad ones. No exceptions.
She would kill the midwife and her whole family to protect her child? Man Raine's mother has guts.
I see an allegory here. Mother wolves and mother bears will protect their offspring with their lives-threatening those who try to harm them, or who may become threats in the future. In this case, Mary is the 'mother wolf', protecting Raine-who at that moment could literally be considered her 'cub'-and given what Evil Trace does to Mary at some point, I'd say it's a fitting comparison.

You need to let autocorrect do less of your writing for you, that was pretty messed up.
I though Raine said the nurse fainted after seeing her, but now it seems that she fainted from shock of the curse.

At this point, I cannot tell which parent is worse: Mary for just being plain fucked up or Euchre for sticking into crazy in the first place. I'm surprised Raine made it out mostly okay.
You go to any woman who's holding their newborn and tell them that the child needs to be killed. I imagine vowing to make your death painful will be a common theme. While she's certainly going overboard, her actions here are understandable. Not right, but understandable.
The best thing is, there's no way she was within choking distance to start out. Which means she magically grabbed hold of her and pulled her in. Darth Vader would be so proud.

It is scientifically proven that felines and K-nines have a motherly thing, when they give birth they will literally protect creatures the size of her kits/pups. Did you know that? Since the Grand Master Templar was turned into a wolf Keidran, she has those instincts. And yes I learned that on a show.
