Sealeen tried brewing a potion of Cat's Reflexes. It made her more cat-like than she was expecting. Suggested by Menke!

Kat hired her to make this potion, to help her get a date with Eric, but no one volunteered to be the Guinea pig for the clinical trials, so she tested it on herself to see if she liked Kat any more during the effects of the potion, too bad for her it backfired. Looks like several months of work have been set back.

Well, the suggestion was originally for a keidranification potion that didn't work quite right. Turning full cat would have meant it worked correctly (unless it turned her into an actual, non-biped cat.)
