Am I wrong but, isn't it technically against Basitin law to mate with/marry someone of another culture?
I don't recall that being specifically mentioned. However judging by their reactions to things in the Island Arc I think it's 'frowned upon' In a general sense. Like a "Why would you be with Human\Keidren, we are isolationist... All that disorder" Kinda thing.

The one thing pissing me off is the basitins "asking" (ordering) to strangers to adopt their costumes . Meanwhile , they doesn't adopt the local costumes when they goes in other countries ............
It is normal for a country to hold visitors to their laws, which the “decency laws” are, is laws. What isn’t common place, take America as an example, is for people to do things exactly like the locals upon arrival. You don’t normally see Muslim women from a more devout nation ditching their hijab in favor of showing their hair. personally i would like to see how this relationship works out, i see much promise, as this is the 1st Human/Basitin shown and I've wanted to see that for a while.

You know...this begs the question of how Basitin flirting does work. There's probably a litany of rules and regulations governing it. It's how they do everything else.
If I recall the men and women only meet eachother once a year, to have sex strictly for reproduction. So I'd imagine for a lot of Basitins flirting is just a non issue.
