Reni is one amazing dragon.
Majestic AF
I just noticed - Reni is actually speaking in the inset, not telepathically communicating…
The royal painter became known as "The Guy who painted dragons" after he also made Noras portrait.
Magnificent!
Beautiful!! ❤️❤️
Can't think of anyone more deserving of becoming Queen. <3 What a sweet heart.
How majestic and adorable!
The Royal Painter: I seen better. Reni: WHAT!!!
Bu buh buh buh buh buh buh baaaaaaaah. (Brass fanfare!)
The color and sky work here is incredible, I think that's one of the best atmospheres I've seen you draw to date. Literally! Very vibrant and detailed. Usual masterclass with the complex shadows on the underside of her wings. Her pose nails the regality in both versions, the color version makes the scene a lot more coherent because the sketch version understandably can't translate the background as well without the added level of detail. The color really does the scene justice, very glad this one got picked. And no one can nail regality one second and awkwardness the next quite like Reni!
This has been an epic month for backgrounds
Absolutely gorgeous
Reni, you are incredibly majestic, and yet still such a lovable little...big...REALLY BIG nerd. We adore you.
Truly epic
Her wings blend into the sky colors. Very regal.
Reni looks so glorious! Definitely Bedtime Story CoverArt Material. 😌
The colors are WONDERFUL :o
Talk about majesty!
My eyes! They burn! Too much aura! 😳😳😳😳
This is awesome and probably my 2nd favorite of the winners. I wonder if there is a version of this image without the sheepish Reni panel on the right. I would love a full wallpaper of Reni being sublime. EDIT: Tom delivered!
yeessss, good~
Would it be possible for us to get a fullscreen version of the portrait? It would make another wonderful desktop background.
Hey Tom, is there any chance you have a version without the inset? It's a cute addition, but it's a shame it blocks out so much of the background.
I painted out the inset panel and attached that version to the post.
I love how Reni is a character who can go from looking so majestic and intimidating in one panel to all shy and awkward in the next one!
Damn, Reni is looking very majestic and beautiful while she's posing for her portrait! :)
Reni's splendor is... UNMATCHABLE!
But does it compare to the MAJESTY of Trogdor the Burninator?
Reni is so innocent with that “👉👈” hand gesture. IT’S ADORABLE!!!
