Raine's Suppression
Mary makes a new magic suppressor for Raine after the first one broke and she discovered her curse for the first time as a child, suggested by Tanner R Wyman!
Mary feared anyone discovering Raine in her other form. She knew from working with the Templar what they were capable of, so she figured encouraging Raine's fear of the "monster" inside was the best way to ensure Raine never became curious about it.

Sigh. Our parents really are the main reason we dislike ourselves and lash out and judge others like us. This is so sad
*hugs Raine tight*
I hate Mary so much. That’s her kid. And she’s treating her like a burden. Poor Raine.
You know as someone who has had people and family struggle with mental illness this reminded me of how poorly a lot of people handle it.
Damm that's cruel
How to speak the wrong way to your child 101.
Awww poor Raine. It's terrible being so young and influenced to be afraid of a form you have. I get Mary's reasonings in a way but I still don't like it.
I thought it was Raine, who never seen keidran before, thought she was a werewolf. Not Mary planted that idea. Because it'... a weird move. I mean, it's a common knowledge that keidran exist, and she may soon learn about it or even see one. And be like "wait a minute..." I understand she's basically locked away, but she educates herself. Or was existence of keidran censored secretly from her books and tutor?
But what a cute little monster she is! Love the lore and seeing the depth of characters and world sketches like this can show us.
The most beautiful warewolf in existence couldn't match your beauty, Raine. ❤️
Conceal don’t feel. Don’t let them Knooooow~ 🎶
Well now, they knoooooww !! I'm so cute ! I'm so cute ! I'll be a wolf forever... XD
Mary: Even in your human form, you're still a monster. Raine: ;_;
As a father, I cannot imagine a more horrific way to handle this situation. No matter how she felt about Euchre, that is her daughter and should never be treated like that.
I *understand* Mary's position. ...still a dick move, LONG TERM. This NEEDED to be revisited by Mary. :(
YES! Unfortunately, life sometimes denies those chances... 😒😒😒
Dayum... That's heartbreaking
Sometimes the worst lies are motivated by the deepest love. It doesn't make it right, but it's easier if the truth comes from the person who lied along with the explanation. I guess Mary didn't get that chance. 😪😪😪
This is touching.
;O; aawwww
My condolences!
Wait... werewolves are real in this world?
They're a real legend, for sure~!
Next drawing should be Raine losing control of wolf form with some comic panels. Kinda like Vampire Rose picture from awhile ago.
And all of this was Mary's fault. Even the other Templars. She was their LEADER after all, and had power rivaling Trace's. The only thing she isn't truly to blame for is Raine being born in the first place. Hard to say if that was just possible from Euchre's perfect magic, or one of the masks doing it as a "Screw you" to Mary and/or Euchre BOTH.
A mother’s love can be toxic, even when she doesn’t truly mean it in her heart
She's so adorable. Sad she had to be made to believe something was wrong with her
Shes no monster
Poor bebe,
Poor Raine. No wonder she hates her wolf form.
It's very sad that she had to treat this as a curse instead of not controlling her magic properly. Raine really did deserve better
Poor kid.
This honestly might be one of the worst things Mary has done. I understand her thought process, but this small interaction messed with Raine’s view of herself for years afterwards.
Sometimes it has to be done to protect someone. It’s not right but not all things are
Rose, far away: "Why do I suddenly have the uncontrollable urge to slap a b***h?"
Oh damn that got really dark
Good intentions, horrible execution.
I see she grew into the preset hair length, has to look out for the tail amd hair getting caught in the door, oof
How coincidental that I just so happened to be reading about Rose teaching Raine the transformation ability at page 1065 right as this was posted. Crazy 😮💨👌
Raine looks so adorable here and I feel so bad for her, after everything she's been through
So werewolves are a real thing in the TK verse?! 😍🐺
I think she's referring to werewolves in the literary sense. There are likely stories about humans transforming into werewolves due to a curse in the TK-verse, like we have. Though perhaps more like "humans transforming into wolf keidran".
Happy early birthday Tom 🎂
Good intentions Mary I give you that, but could you at least be more nice about it in a way your daughter still feels loved you regardless the form?
"Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know!" 'Fur never bothered me anyway.' *door slam.
This is so sad. My poor little baby's not cursed, she's just built different!
That may be, but if the Templer found out...
Mary was going about this the wrong way.
poor girlie, growing up trans feels like this ><
I’m trans and I still live with my very homophobic family. It’s difficult and I’m trying very hard to not lose my self over there games.
Raine is my absolute favorite, she's so adorable, and fascinating
