In the last comic strip you can really tell Flora's been abused, Trace says something ignorant comparing her to Kat, and her response is to be angry at Kat for "making her look bad" and not Trace for being a jerk. It reflects a patriarchy-centered upbringing when she's more worried about seeking validation than holding him to account for putting his foot in his mouth. It's just... so cool how much detail about a character and world you can get from subtle writing choices.
