Kat Bath Redux Redux
A 2026 update to my 2014 update to my 2008 update of Kat exiting a bath, suggested by SomeOtherTom! It's interesting to see where my style has gone in the intervening years. I do think I had a really cool thing going in 2014 with the hard sketch lines. Overall, I'd say my style has settled in the last ten years, compared to the rapid changes that I underwent in the first ten years of Twokinds.

It's true. You spend the first few years of your art career improving and defining your style, but once you establish it, it's mostly refining it from there.

I'm honestly impressed that Tom doesn't post truly nsfw stuff. The amount of detail he puts in this kinda thing seriously suggests he does make it, but never posts it :3

It’s funny how with each redraw, the towel seems to get lower and lower. If this gets redrawn again in another 10 years or so, her tail is going to be over the towel.
I don’t hear any complaints about that. Personally I’d like to help her wash her back.

Probably the biggest change I've noticed with how you draw your characters is how their faces have become less angular over time. Go back to about 12 years ago, and it feels like most characters have these really sharp chins that aren't as prevalent anymore. That aside, it's another excellent drawing! Can't go wrong with Kat :)
First time it was good. Second time it was better. Third time is peak.

Yes, like Tom said in his comments, I definitely see the growth and settling in his artwork. His current work is far smoother and IMHO, far more lifelike (even in the sketches) than previous years. I love the progression! I'm sure there will still be small changes as time goes on, but I hope it stays basically where it is now. Keep it up Tom! 👍👍
