Watching these storms roll in is always incredible. Even when I need to work in them.

(Adelaide sees a tiny white dot on the leading edge of the thunderheads & watches as it gets larger. Eventually it gets larger and Nora lands serenely on the beach, the winds not affecting her.) Adelaide (indicating table with afternoon tea laid out): 'You're late. And a show-off.' Nora: (smirk)

I love me some stormy weather

This is a really great sketch to start the month off with. The windswept hair and cloak on Jade (and the tree foliage in the background) really sells the idea of a storm blowing in and feels immersive. The specular lighting on the ocean especially the cloud reflection is excellent, and the detail on the cloud specifically makes the storm look ominous. I'm not an expert on storm clouds, but I can definitely believe a powerful storm brewing. It's really easy to place oneself mentally in this scene with the idea of the wind howling and whipping around. A great and both literally and metaphorically atmospheric piece.
