Sick Day

Adelaide bringing soup to a sick Madelyn, suggested by Max O-Zuma!

Basitin are generally resistant to disease, but no system is perfect. And like everything else, it scales with a Basitin's fortitude. I imagine when something breaks through, it hits like a truck. Probably all the more worrisome when it happens.

Would love to see that "gentle explanation."

What a wholesome milf

It's great to see her just being a Mom here. Even the clothes are Mom clothes rather than Royal clothes.

A
Argonwolf · February 12, 2026

A death stare is technically gentle, and surely all she needs to get any of her subordinates to drop the subject.

Those ot you who can`t accepet that having a sick child is a valid excuse to stay home, can experince a lot of sick days of their own. Nursing broken arms and legs,

This was not a threat. It was a promise.

"Gently"

E
Ebonbolt · April 25, 2026

"Gently" means they all leave the conversation with all their extremities attached & unbroken. "Ungently" means they leave the conversation in one container. "Roughly" means they might leave the conversation… intermittently.

I do be enjoying the wholesome posts.

"Gently" xD

G
GravTempest · February 12, 2026

I'm enjoying this wholesome scene because I know it reminds us of when we were sick as kids. That wonderful feeling knowing that your parents had your back as you recovered. Also see this getting colored.

It's good to be da king!

Honestly, I forgot that Basitins had disease resistance. But now that I know, the head-canon I'm going with is that, while Basitins are resistant to diseases, they're more likely to get sick while they're young and their immune systems are not yet fully developed. For comparison, maybe they have some kind of "Island Flu" that's similar to our "Chicken Pox," a thing you get sick with once or twice at most, then never again. It was great to watch this get drawn. Thank you.

Adelaide is a great mother.

K
Kurtis Ryan · February 12, 2026

I want to see her "gently" explain it.

A
Aaron Peterson · February 12, 2026

"Gently" explaining it is mercifully killing them swiftly.

O

I love thinking of basitins as goats

w
wjd1206 · February 11, 2026

I don't know what 'gently' means in this context, but I *know* it would be unwise to challenge a mom with King Adelaide's abilities!😉😉😉🤣🤣🤣

G
Glenn Sellers · February 11, 2026

So, does "gently" mean only 2 broken bones for King Adelaide?

E
Esteban Manzo · February 12, 2026

Yep, they’re dead.

D
Drazgon · February 11, 2026

Interesting that even Tom himself references to Adelaide as Adelaide even in the same sentence with Madelyn

S
SCD · February 11, 2026

Adelaide: With violence! Madelyn: Oh.

D
Drazgon · February 11, 2026

Let me comfort myself with a thought that it was a casual council meeting about something like a organization of celebration or building new schools or something. Let me keep seeing Adelaide as a righteous selfless king who puts needs of the realm first and would not let it fall because of some family crisis or even family tragedy.

J
Joshu Kel'Machan · February 11, 2026

I wonder what ‘gentle’ means when the king says it …

И
Илья Kalinin · February 11, 2026

You know, it's so funny to see it when you can't get out of bed because of illness.

A
Andrew Copsey · February 11, 2026

"Gently" meaning tossing the offending General a mile or so out to sea and, after they've swum back to shore, plucking them out of the surf, pretending to examine them, brightly declare "Too small, better throw it back" and throwing them back out again.

N
Nerflo · February 11, 2026

Seeing King Adelaide mothering is so sweet and wholesome to witness. 🥰 By “Gently” Explain does she means “ROYAL RUMBLE”!!!!!!!!!!!

C
Comrade Gibby · February 11, 2026

"gently explain it to them" aka "there's gonna be a lot of ouchies"

G
Glenn Sellers · February 11, 2026

It looks like several of us were thinking along the same line.

A
Anonymous1988 · February 11, 2026

Maddie: " By 'gently explain', do you mean 'use them to remove a few load-bearing walls'?" Adelaide: "Hey, I am more than capable of resolving a situation with words! But probably, yes."

Adorable mother daughter moment

R
Rook Prime · February 11, 2026

A good king does have to know when to carefully tend to their people...And just how much force is needed to explain what's been done if some subjects disagree.

K
Kalel The Protogen · February 11, 2026

awe, poor baby 🥺

X

And so Adelaide "gently" reminded the council why she is king.

"Gently" she says. Suuuuuurrrrre. But Adelaide is a great mom nonetheless~

R
Rook Prime · February 11, 2026

I'm sure it will be gentle, for someone her size. Of course, she's a good 18 inches taller than and double the weight of the average basitin...

T
ThatManGareth · February 11, 2026

“Gently” X to doubt

o
okami-zero · February 11, 2026
