I doubt if this is an EVA suit, but the mag-boots makes good sense. Astronaut EVA suits have a hard shell around the torso and around each seal to reinforce those areas and prevent atmospheric breaches should an... event occur. However, a simple e-suit for shipboard use could just be simple Kevlar or something similar.

60 years earlier and Bowie could have been singing Space Cutie instead. Would've had to have been communicating with Major Queen (or Molly, since she's sterile?), or things would get awkward at HR.
There's always something special that makes every one of these sketches unique. I'm captivated by Kat's expression here, calm bordering on melancholy. Like she's been up in this station for so long that these routine spacewalks have become her solace that fights off the distant niggling sense of loneliness. Like she can continue telling herself she's fine, that she can tough it out awhile longer, but the minute someone tells her she's going home to her friends she will absolutely melt. Assuming she still remembers what being around other people feels like and she won't find Laura and Willow hugging her to be as alien an experience as their absence was when she arrive in space. Maybe it's my imagination running away, but all that feeling from one image. And I didn't even mention the adorable cat ear space helmet.

Why are there cat ears on her helmet? Wouldn't it be safer and more efficient to make ear pockets in the liner padding fitted to her ears when she folds them back and down? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Far less comfortable though. And it would reduce the effectiveness of her hearing. Plus this space suit was clearly designed by and for keidran, so of course they'd take their own anatomy into account. Trousers probably have a special rear pocket for the tail too.
Give her an arm cannon and scramble her DNA with an ultimate predator and you've got a series.

Scifi Twokinds is always good to see - and this makes me think of all the added complications of being a Keidran in space since it's already complicated for humans while the Keidran have claws and fur and a greater sense of smell and other additional complications. ^^;
I have a feeling shedding fur would be a major issue in space. Also, KSP - Keidran Space Program.
