I'm not on the "dragon Nibbly" conspiracy. (If she was a dragon, where are her little horns?) But she is definitely not an ordinary squirrel. Maybe "indestructible squirrel" is more like it.

Well, Reni, obviously there's more to Mrs. Nibbly than meets the eye.
At this point I'm just waiting for official confirmation that "Nibbly" is a dragon somewhere in the mid-high levels of power as far as dragons go...Just walking around as a squirrel to mess with people.
It wasn't official confirmation but when Clovis' goon, Romulus and Remus attacked Trace's estate, Nibbly raced up the stairs and later, we see a Nibbly sized shadow on the wall only it didn't look like Nibbly. Whatever it was, it scared one of the twins bad enough that he fell to his death.

We all know that Nibbly isn't a regular squirrel. The real question is what exactly IS she?
Probably a dragon since she's much more intelligent than a normal squirrel. That would also explain why she can survive the burning coffee
Reminds me of Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
In chapter 21 and page 1141 we see a shadow of mrs nibbly lpokimg like a small dragon. And because dragons can shapeshif she could be a dragon.
So my hope of her eventually becoming her Magical Mishap anthro form permanently is still alive
