Why are those "points" on Adira's face/mask giving me the impression of stretched skin like some HellRaiser Cenobite nightmare?! Like it's implying Adira had her skin FLAYED from her skull??!!!
If I had to take a guess... well, it was less a face-removal and more a body removal, resulting in a decidedly more literal take on the phrase "becoming the mask" than is normally expected.
