At first I thought the heated stones where Reni's dorsal spines/scales. XD
I had similar thoughts. They look great against the skin color Reni chose. It appears that, rather than spines, she has something that looks similar to an equine mane that runs all along her back in her standard dragon shape. I wonder how much Reni's considered varying what draconic features she includes in her humanoid form. 🤔 It would be intriguing to see her add something like that mane, for sure.

I wasn't sure she'd feel much through that tail since her scales are normally thick enough to be used as a literal chalkboard. Guess Kat's hands really ARE magic!
