Is there a historical background to the Twokinds universe? I mean, it was revealed right at the beginning, and throughout the comics and character backstory, there are tons of snippets of Twokinds' history. For example, that the Keidrane snow leopards are practically extinct because humans hunted them for their fur. Or a Great War that happened centuries ago.
If there is one, we don't know much about it yet. Tom hasn't done an Official Twokinds Encyclopedia/Biblica as of typing of this comment. Honestly, I wish he would get on it soonish. However, it's possible that he could be working on one offline as we might be in the home stretch decade now.
Now we have to have more stories of the six of them.

Chaplain Cassius is the oldest active member of the Ultramarines Chapter, not counting those who continue to fight after being imprisoned in the Dreadnought's armored sarcophagus. Though nearly four hundred years old, he still finds his purpose, and his resilient presence in the Ultramarines' battle lines fills the hearts of his younger brothers with pride. Cassius recalls stories from the First Tyranid War, when he fought alongside Marneus Calgar—always "young Calgar" to him—to liberate Ultramar from the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Behemoth. His impassioned words have carried the Ultramarines into battle on thousands of worlds, inspiring them with his own heartfelt faith and trust. And now, with the Chapter's strength renewed, he carries the banner of Macragge into the Well once more. During the First Tyranid War, Cassius accompanied the troops attempting to rescue the 1st Company, which was surrounded in the northern polar fortress. He was severely wounded by a rampaging Carnifex, and his face was horribly burned by bioacid and horribly disfigured. Much of his shattered body had to be replaced with bionics. However, he chose not to have his face repaired through Apothecari surgery or bionics, as he wanted the scars to forever remind him of the hated aliens. I think they are more characters too.
All those characters are named after famous Romans. Romulus and Remus were the mythical founders of Rome, Tiberius wasn emperor, Cassius Longinus was the leader of Julius Caesar's assassins along with Brutus, and Quintus Cicero was a famous writer and one of Caesar's generals.
Interesting. Fun fact: In Warhammer 40.000 Universe exist a Tiberius. Tiberius is an Honor Guard of the Ultramarines and the bodyguard of the Chapter Master, Lord Marneus Calgar. In battle, he and his brethren Strabo never leave the Chapter Master's side. He and his brethren flank his master's throne. Courage and honor! For Macragge! Oh wait. There's also a Quintus, or rather something called Quintus. There's a planet dedicated solely to industrial manufacturing. It's a bulwark against many enemies of the Imperium of Mankind.

I wonder how common large litters are for keidrans. A lot of them seem to have siblings, but six at once is pretty impressive...

I have questions... Is that the order in which the litter was born, left to right? Was Quintus the fifth to come out, the fifth to be named, or was he named Quintus for reasons unrelated to ordinal numeration? Why does Dave have a (diminutive form of a) Hebrew name instead of a Latin name like the rest? Does Dave have poor vision or does he just wear glasses as a fashion statement? How does Tiberius feel about being named after the captain of the United Star Ship Enterprise? Do any of them know where Rome is? Does Dave know? Does only Dave know? Is there anything Dave *doesn't* know?

Everyone's saying Dave is the most dangerous one, and they're probably right. But not for the reason they think. He's got big nerd energy, and that means he's probably the nicest of the litter but also knows exactly how to kill someone and never be suspected of it.
