You guys know that squirrels are omnivores and they do actually eat meats and eggs in many instances. This is not at all a surprising meal for a regular squirrel... though the amount of food is something else entirely...

This is during the epilogue of twokinds, Sythe and Nibbly are now living together with the taverndatter sisters, He’s now together with Maren, And Karen is just happy to have a wolf brother in law, and Nibbly is happy for her wolf boy.
I love the picture on the wall, but it does make me wonder if there is some kind of magic photography on Mekkan. Hand painted portraits usually have more solemn expressions, partly because it's hard to hold exuberant expressions for long periods of time. Thus I'm inclined to assume it was a photograph. The other possibility is that the artist knew the four of them well enough to paint this without a formal sitting and decided to inject a little fun into this.
Hmmm...that makes me wonder if Eric was involved and painted this either as a gift or as in exchange for being able to paint Sythe naked.
The whole meal was, of course, prepared by Mrs. Nibbly. Not bad for a common, run-of-the-mill, perfectly ordinary squirrel!

Perfect Gentlemen Scythe...no doubt he was trained extensively in the art of proper manners at the table...all to be ruined once the he actually starts eating.
